The challenge
Survival Island, the March 2016 Minecraft Hardcore Challenge, kept everyone near one island. The special rule from host Michael Deering: don't leave the island vicinity. The standard rules applied too: no skipping the night in a bed, no harming passive mobs, no eating meat from passive mobs (zombie flesh and fish are fine), no AFK anything, everything on camera at normal speed, and episodes that run from sunup to sunup.
The game ran in hardcore mode on Minecraft 1.9. The four episodes went up between March 4 and March 15, 2016. A first attempt on the wrong seed is listed below. This is a different challenge from Island Survival in April 2014.
