The challenge
Mission Impossible, the January 2014 Minecraft Hardcore Challenge, set one objective: capture a stronghold and make it your home. Basket's team starts out in a snowy, icy biome with little food, because killing passive mobs is against the rules, and has to survive long enough to reach the stronghold nearby.
Host Michael Deering's other rules were no mods, no beds and nothing off camera. The game ran in hardcore mode on Minecraft 1.7.4 on the GopherCraft server. The nine episodes went up between January 3 and January 31, 2014.
