The season
Season 12 ran on Minecraft 1.8.6, on UHC difficulty, hosted by GopherCraft and run by Basket, who built the command blocks used on the map. Players picked their own teams of three ahead of time. The world border shrinks with every death: after each one, players get a two-minute warning, and then the border closes in by a set amount over five minutes.
Eight episodes went up between November 29 and December 13, 2015, followed by a spectator footage video (Episode 99) on December 16.

How it ended for Basket
Basket's team was green, with Evil_Mech_Meru and FriarNurgle. Evil_Mech_Meru fell to a silverfish on Day 2, and FriarNurgle, stuck in the world border, was removed from the server on Day 3, so Basket played the rest alone. In the last episode Basket took out nihontiger with the sword named Scoti Slayer, but was shot near a cobblestone fort and then "hit the ground too hard." Six players were still in when Basket's episode ended. The spectator footage below follows the match until Scoti_Garbidis and Bakerbelle are the last two on screen, but no win message appears.

Episode 99: Spectator Footage
It opens with "nihontiger was slain by BasketMC using [Scoti Slayer]" and "BasketMC hit the ground too hard," then follows the endgame from spectator mode around a cobblestone tower as the border closes in. The chat reads "thepigglesworth was shot by Scoti_Garbidis," and the video ends with Scoti_Garbidis and Bakerbelle standing on a dirt pillar in the water.
