Day five, and Basket is still the only player left on team green. "All my friends died." The episode opens beside a pool of lava, underground near the middle of the map, with Basket scouting for anything better than cobblestone.
One more out
Early on, chat posts "pulse2010 tried to swim in lava," and a round of "gg" follows from Bakerbelle, Scoti_Garbidis, BasketMC, FriarNurgle, erynfaith, thepigglesworth and Evil_Mech_Meru. Right after, the server warns "Soul Crusher will wake in 2 minutes!" Every death pulls the border in a little more.
A dungeon full of zombies
Basket follows the sound of a cave and breaks into something better: a mossy cobblestone room with a monster spawner in the middle and zombies crowding around it. "Oh look at this, that's exciting." Basket works around to the edge, fights the zombies from the shaft above with an iron sword, then lights the room up with torches. There are two chests.
The chests hold diamond horse armor, a bucket, wheat, string, a music disc and the real prize: an enchanted book with Unbreaking III, Sharpness IV and Efficiency IV. "What the heck is that? I'm going to put that on my sword."
Building an anvil
There is no enchanting table, so the book needs an anvil. Basket blocks off the neighboring cave and sets up furnaces next to the dungeon chests. Iron goes in, eight to a furnace, then gold. "Now we have an anvil." Basket makes a brand new iron sword, puts the book on it and names it.
The tooltip reads Scoti Slayer, Unbreaking III, Sharpness IV. Basket does not expect it to land on Scoti_Garbidis specifically. "Hopefully I can kill somebody with this sword, so at least they can see it."
Testing the sword
Creepers and a zombie turn up in a gap in the dungeon wall, and the new sword handles them. "I can kill these guys faster." Meanwhile chat shows AngryK9 earning the Time to Strike! achievement. Farther along, Basket shoots a skeleton with the bow. "That killed him."
Gold, but no apples
The cave beyond has more gold and iron. A look at the player list shows how everyone is doing. Bakerbelle is at full health and the rest of that team is close, while Gopherboy is down to a single heart and AngryK9 to three. Basket is at nine. "Looks like everybody's hurting pretty bad." With the new gold, Basket has enough for two golden apples, but no apples to make them with.
Exploring farther, Basket stops short. "I could have sworn I just saw like somebody's name there." Nothing comes of it. "I'll assume not."
End of day five
The server posts "End of Day 5. Players remaining:" with ten names: BasketMC, nihontiger, Scoti_Garbidis, Bakerbelle, bjaydubya, AngryK9, Gopherboy, thepigglesworth, PsychoSFK and ty750. Basket is alive, still alone on team green, and underground near the middle of the map, with a skeleton just ahead when the episode ends.
