Day four, and Basket is the only one left on team green. "The triplets are down to just one." Evil_Mech_Meru and FriarNurgle are both out. What Basket has: a bow from last episode, a pile of flint, unenchanted iron tools and a single diamond, which is "not really enough to do much." The plan is to make arrows, find somebody, and see if a shot lands.
Arrows and a flooded tunnel
The arrows get made first. Then Basket tunnels toward spawn, climbing a little higher to stay clear of the mineshaft. "There are a lot of baby zombies by me, so I will definitely not dig down to go meet them." Partway along, the tunnel breaks into water. "That's unfortunate." Basket notes "I don't have water breathing on" and keeps working up until the tunnel comes out on a grassy plain.
Following the compass
Diamonds will not come quickly for a team of one, so Basket decides to move in with the gear on hand. Nobody in chat has talked about meeting at spawn, and Basket reads that as the border doing its job: everyone is too busy getting ready and staying ahead of it to sit around. The compass points the way. A steak on the move, a climb up some high ground, and there is a lake near the middle of the map. "I feel like if somebody's here they might set up shop on this little hill." Nobody is in sight.
Digging in at the middle
Basket digs down near spawn, careful about one thing underneath: "There is the bedrock box with all the command blocks down under here, so I don't want to run into that." This close to the middle, the border is not going to be a problem. Chat posts "Soul Crusher will wake in 2 minutes!" and Basket types a question to everyone: "I never tested out healing in the nether :O anyone confirm that its' still an issue?" A ravine opens up below. Then chat posts "Soul Crusher is coming!" with the border shrinking 138 blocks over five minutes. The pickaxe is about to break, so Basket stops to make a new one. "Crazy inventory."
Saying hi
"Let's see if I can make somebody think that I see him." Basket types "Hi" into chat. FriarNurgle, Scoti_Garbidis and Gopherboy say hi back, and AngryK9 says "Bye." ty750 asks "why are you guys colorless?" and Basket answers "unknown." FriarNurgle, already out, adds "ghosts." When pulse2010 earns the Hot Topic achievement, Basket types "congrats."
A cave at last
"Oop, I found a cave." Torches light the ledges. The plan is to mine the iron and gold already spotted and then circle back to the parts of the cave not explored yet. "Nobody really responded about the nether thing, so I'm hoping that that's not a factor in this one." Next on the list: iron, the redstone, and a water bucket Basket still does not have.
End of day four
Deeper in, the cave has a pool of lava. The server posts "End of Day 4. Players remaining:" with eleven names: BasketMC, nihontiger, Bakerbelle, Scoti_Garbidis, thepigglesworth, bjaydubya, AngryK9, ty750, pulse2010, PsychoSFK and Gopherboy. That is the same eleven as the end of day three. Basket is alive, alone on team green and underground near the middle of the map when the episode ends, still hoping to find somebody next time.
