The rail station gets a night off. In this stream archive, about 74 minutes long, Basket joins Scoti_Garbidis, voodoobeard and Kondrik at jandoncom's guardian farm out in the ocean. The plan is to light up the mineshaft and caves underneath, so the mobs spawn in the farm instead of in the dark below it. The opening card calls it "Guardian Farm Lightup." Chat sets the tone early: Scoti_Garbidis types "kondrik come to the guardian farm. everybody gonna die..... er... party tonight."
Out to the farm
The trip goes by minecart through the Nether. On the farm's prismarine floor, a sign reads "Sand Drop Simulator 2016" over a hole, and the group takes a moment to watch sand fall. Then it's down through a breathing hole, under the water and into the rock.
A very small mineshaft
There are rails, cobwebs and wooden supports, and the advice is to shear the webs rather than break them. Someone finds a spawner with a chest beside it: "There's a spawner right here guys." The answer is quick: "Don't break it." Basket turns on sound captions to find mobs by their noises, and a server restart knocks everyone back to the server list for a minute.
The mineshaft is a letdown. "This is a pathetic mineshaft," someone says, and later, "Jan, you really hyped up this tiny mineshaft!" There's a pyramid of gold blocks in a big hole down there, a beacon base with no beacon on it. Up in the farm, the group checks the lava and fence gates, finds a few gates that might be missing, and decides it's "probably better to let her figure it out herself." Instead, they start a pit on the near side, copying the other side.
A ride for the beacon
Basket goes to fetch a beacon, back through the Nether and out along Basket's own railway, two lines running through a fenced cutting in the trees. "I have a railway all the way over to, well, not all the way to the Iron Farm yet." The beacon sits on a gold block in a huge dug-out space full of chests and torches. Basket breaks it, rides back, and opens the beacon menu at the farm with Haste under the cursor.
Digging too deep
While Basket was away, the pit went down. "We got nine layers to go," and the target is height 17. Basket goes past it, and someone shouts "you went way too far, dude." That's how the real caves turn up. "See, this is why you need to dig deeper." Now the lighting starts in earnest: zombies, creepers, skeletons, a lava pocket, water pockets, and spiders in another little mineshaft, which earns the name "tiny mineshaft number four."
Mischief at the furnace
Then Scoti_Garbidis drops out of the game. Basket is standing by a furnace, and someone points out being "right next to his furnace so I can steal all that iron." Kondrik types "Voodoo.. change out the iron for gold," then "before he logs in." Basket pulls out cobwebs and sets them by the furnace. Scoti_Garbidis logs back in right next to it.
Near the end everyone is back up in the farm, voodoobeard and Scoti_Garbidis included. Basket talks about wanting a north station someday, so people on the north side of town don't have to run across it to catch a cart. The credits run to the end with no gameplay after them.
