Last time ended on a plan: one of them would drop everything but torches and run into the room of pillars. This one picks up mid-run. The deaths sidebar opens at BasketMC 29 and Scoti_Garbidis 27, and within seconds Basket's screen goes red: "BasketMC was shot by Skeleton."
The torch run
"There's a skeleton back there and I screwed up." With Basket dead, the gear question comes up: "Can you put my stuff in a chest?" The torch count gets checked too. "You have 25 torches. That's all you had." Then the other side gets its turn. "There's a creeper spawner right to the right when you go in, by the way."
The mobs crowd the pillars fast. "They can't get in but they can get really close." Then something blows. "I don't have any blocks." "Now's the time to go." "Are you alive?" "Yep." The cost: "I think we lost your cobble pickaxe."
Gearing back up
Next comes "I'm dead. This is awful. I had some stuff on me," and chat confirms the second loss: "Scoti_Garbidis was blown up by Creeper." Basket, meanwhile, is back at a large chest pulling armor on, and a Boots of a Fallen Warrior tooltip comes up as the slots fill. "We need armor." One of them sums up the losses: "No helmet, no boots. Those are all gone."
The slow sand gets some credit. "All the monsters were being really slowed down by it," and the trick was to "let a creeper blow everything else up." The torches did their job either way: "We've got all the torches we could possibly have."
Pillar by pillar
The second push is slower. "The next room continues on the right hand side, so we don't get too close to it." One of them takes the bow for "covering fire" and promises to "reduce the number of times I shoot you." Creepers go up in smoke between the pillars, and the spawners start going out. "All right, I took out another creeper spawner." The rule for the rest: "When you hit these, you have to throw the torches up top, too."
The fancy box
"There's the box over there." Somebody calls it "the fleecy box," then settles on "the fancy box." It's a chest on a stone pedestal, and inside is White Wool, the tooltip reading "Area: The Last Sanctuary." "I'll take one, I'll take one, we'll leave the other one." One piece lands in Basket's inventory. "Where do we take this to, though?"
A trap that never fired
There's still a doorway with a chest. "There is a piston here." "Don't open it." Redstone dust shows in the floor, and the guess is that opening the chest "would have made the walls close in and crush you." The redstone comes out instead. "I want all the redstone and the sticky pistons." The chest holds cobwebs, bones, leather pants and Golden Boots, and the boots end up with Basket. "I took the leather pants and the bones."
"That's everything in the crypt." Two deaths this episode, one each. The sidebar goes from BasketMC 29 and Scoti_Garbidis 27 to BasketMC 30 and Scoti_Garbidis 28. The White Wool hasn't been placed and the monument isn't shown, so wools stay at 0 of 16 and emerald blocks at 0 of 16.
