Team B.S. is still in the jungle of the Reptilian Stronghold, still after the gray wool. The deaths sidebar opens at Scoti_Garbidis 92 and BasketMC 73, the same numbers Episode 70 ended on.
Coal and torches
The episode starts slow. Skeletons are shooting from the dark ("skeletons need to burn"), and the torches have run low. There's coal nearby, so one of them heads off to mine it: "I'm gonna grab some and make torches real quick." The other can't resist: "Wowie wowie, very exciting beginning of this episode, mining coal, never seen that before in a Minecraft video."
Rage Creeper
Then chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was blown up by Rage Creeper," and Scoti's count ticks to 93. "A big Scoti sized divot."
The green reptile mobs are still a mystery. "So reptile guys. I'm not sure what they do yet." "I know what they do. They die." The creepers have a source too: "creepers are definitely spawning out of that hill, I can actually see one of the spawners." One of them climbs up and takes one out. "I took out one spawner on the hill. It was creepers though."
The Reptilian Commander
The gear left behind after the death isn't all coming back. "I think that book is gone, man." On the bright side: "I got my awesome bow back though."
A bigger mob shows up with a name tag reading Reptilian Commander. "Here comes the commander, he's gonna take a beating." Basket wades in with a purple sword, and soon several of the green mobs are on fire. The weapons get a review mid-fight: "I don't think the smite sword is doing much." "I think the smite sword is doing pretty well."
Four deaths in four minutes
The push toward the next building goes badly. "Oh snap, lots of spawners." Chat reads "BasketMC was blown up by Creeper," and Basket respawns, pulls an iron sword, a stone pickaxe and some chainmail out of a chest, and chat shows Basket teleporting to Intersection 2.
Not long after, chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Reptilian Rogue." "Reptilian rogues, those scoundrels. This is gonna be a rough level, dude."
One of them has a theory about the building: "I think this extra spot is for emeralds. I have a feeling that the actual wool is not here." Then Basket's hearts turn green with poison and drop to one, and the death screen reads "BasketMC was shot by Skeleton."
Right after a second Intersection 2 teleport for Basket, chat adds "Scoti_Garbidis was blown up by Creeper." "Is this the end of the episode?" "No." "Reptiles are the worst." "I like amphibians."
Picking up the pieces
The rest of the episode is a salvage run. "All my stuff is gone." "There was a pile of creepers in my spot." Some of it turns up, some doesn't, and they regroup at a chest to sort out boots and pants. Torches are no longer a problem: "almost four stacks of torches."
The plan for next time: "before we charge in this next thing we should end the episode, and then we're gonna take over this island." One last look at the haul: "Taking these magical pants though." And one loss: "I lost my good bow."
The sidebar opens at Scoti_Garbidis 92 and BasketMC 73 and closes at 95 and 75. That's three deaths for Scoti (a Rage Creeper, a Reptilian Rogue and a Creeper) and two for Basket (a Creeper and a Skeleton). The monument isn't shown, so wools stay at 7 of 16 and emerald blocks at 4 of 16.
