The deaths sidebar opens at Scoti_Garbidis 145 and BasketMC 108. Team B.S. is still stuck in the last of the three nightmares, the dark one with void fog, and the episode starts at a run. "Run, run, run." The gear they lost last time is still lying around somewhere, and the worry is simple: "Our stuff's gonna despawn." Then the line that names the episode: "It's spooky time."
Fooled by a mob
Basket goes first. The death screen comes up with "BasketMC was slain by Tormented Spirit," and the sidebar ticks to 109. "I thought I was standing next to you, but it was a mob," comes the explanation. Half a minute later chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Psychopath," and Scoti is on 146.
Basket's screen shows the walk back: a ladder down into the dark with an empty hotbar. "I'm going down with no gear at all," one of them says. The plan is to grab as much as possible from the death piles and fall back to sort it. "Those guys kill me really quick."
The Reaper gets a turn
It goes badly. Chat shows "BasketMC was slain by Psychopath" twice in under two minutes, and the sidebar climbs to 111. In between, Scoti's count goes up to 147 across a cut in the video, with no death line on screen. Every time Basket respawns, chat shows "BasketMC Teleporting to: Intersection 3" as the trip back starts.
Then a new name turns up in chat: "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Reaper." The sidebar reads 148. Nobody saw it coming. "I just suddenly died and it said the reaper got me."
Home from home
Bit by bit they drag their gear back to a small room lined with chests. "Good thing we made that little spot there with all those chests. Our home from home." Along the way Basket's inventory shows a Splash Potion of Healing and, later, a Diamond Helmet with Respiration III and Protection IV. The Psychopaths don't let up. "That's a lot of psychopaths," one of them says, and later chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Tormented Spirit" (149).
Sorting the chest turns up a Poisoned Harpoon: Power V, Infinity I, Unbreaking II, a Legendary Magic Item. Basket later has a bow with Power IV, Punch I and Unbreaking III in the inventory. Soon after the harpoon, chat shows "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Psychopath," and the sidebar hits 150.
Poison spiders
With one direction blocked off, they head left. A spider crawls into the torchlit hall, more Psychopaths come down the hall, and the calls start. "Spider, spider, spider!" "Over your head!" Basket's hearts turn the color of poison. "I'm poison. I don't have antidote."
The idea is to use water to keep the spiders out. Basket has a Water Bucket on the hotbar, and the water gets placed, broken and placed again. "You just broke my water." "I put the water back, sorry." The episode ends mid-dig. "Oh god, oh no, I chose the wrong way to dig in." The credits roll and nothing plays after them.
The sidebar closes at Scoti_Garbidis 150 and BasketMC 111. This episode: Scoti 5 deaths, Basket 3. No wool, emerald block or upgrade block is placed.
