The episode opens on a chest with all eight emeralds from the Phantom Ruins in it. The death counter starts at Scoti 57, Basket 47. It won't stay there.
Emerald block number six
The emeralds become a block, and the block goes on the monument. It fills the sixth slot. After "the dramatic pause," the chat says "The ancient gods have sent you a present," and the present is another bow.
"Are you kidding me, and it doesn't make you slow?" There's some back and forth over who uses which bow. By the end of the episode, Curse of the Arctic is in Basket's hotbar.
The debate
Next comes the upgrade. "Okay, now we have to do debate for ten minutes." They read the signs one by one. Advanced Scavenging gives a 10% chance of a diamond per kill, but only after the Intersection 4 checkpoint. Divine Shield's upgrade refreshes its two absorption hearts every 40 seconds instead of 70. Life Drain adds half a saturation per kill. Arcane Strike doubles its explosion radius from 20 to 40. There's also an arrow aura that hits nearby enemies with vulnerability. "Remember I promised you guys it would be an exciting beginning to an episode? Us discussing and reading."
Frenzy wins. It gives a chance at two seconds of strength after each kill, and the advanced level raises that chance to 100%. Then the Blightroot goes to the quest giver. "Guess what I've got?" "Blightroot!" "Boop." Nothing happens yet. "I'm sure something'll happen later."
Charged creepers, twice
They take the boats back into the Phantom Ruins and work through spawners, a hanging cage and an invisible archer. Some lapis gets left behind to mine later with a fortune pick. Then a charged creeper catches Basket, and Basket's gear ends up underwater surrounded by more creepers. "I forgot that they're silly, silly strong." Up on the roof are about 20 zombie villagers in silver helmets.
A few minutes later, Basket gets blown up by a creeper again. Between them, a helmet, a pair of pants and a frost trap potion are lost. "My pants are down." What's left gets stashed in a double chest, and the charged creeper spawner out front finally comes down.
The trap room
A tunnel leads to a chest holding a single cookie (they leave it), a one-way teleport button, bedrock, and fire. They're short on the potions that reveal the invisible mobs, a hole opens in the stairs, and "BasketMC was slain by Phantom (Elite)." "That's the guy that killed you."
Then one of them yells not to break the glass. "These walls are pistons, so it'll open up and let them out." Mobs are packed into the walls, and some of them burn in the lava behind. An apology for the yelling follows.
Over halfway
The crystal turns up, and they go straight to the monument for "the most mega celebration episode ever." The Light-Gray Crystal goes in.
"Nine, we're over halfway done!" That makes 9 of 16 crystals and 6 of 12 emerald blocks. The counter closes at Scoti 57, Basket 50.
