The last episode ended with Scoti killed by magic, so this one starts with a gear run. The counter opens at Scoti 134, Basket 117. "Welcome back guys, we gotta go get my stuff." "Welcome back, guacamole."
Getting the stuff back
The plan splits them up. One of them goes for the dropped gear while the other heads to the second level. "Don't go in the hole." The pants turn up first. "You grabbed my pants?" Back at a quiet corner they call their secret garden, the anvil comes out to patch up "this magic diamond gear," but there aren't enough levels for it.
Guacamole means charge
Guacamole is the code word for going in, and this time they go in with water buckets, one on the right and one on the left. The water pushes mobs off the ledges. "They're getting pushed off by the water. That's great." One of them takes out a creeper spawner. Soon after, chat shows it: "You have destroyed a shrine." After the two from the last two episodes, that's three of the seven.
Food is running low, too. One of them is down to potatoes and makes a confession. "My saturation ran out, so there, everybody, I admitted it. Pork chops are better."
Avocado means run
The smoke monster is back, and so is the other code word. Whenever it shows up, someone yells "Avocado!" and everybody runs. On one push, something follows one of them into a side chamber with the smoke monster close behind. "I was just looking for any place that was hole-shaped for me to climb into and cry." Later one of them can't see at all and isn't sure what just happened. "Am I really dead? Oh no, no, no." Not dead. "Once I can see, I'm just gonna book it out."
They clear most of the spawners and find ghast spawners out on the edges near the middle pit. One of them takes a ghast spawner down while the other loots a chest they skipped earlier.
The Gatekeeper's Leggings
The chest has a pair of pants in it. "The Gatekeeper's Leggings!" The tooltip lists Protection III, Blast Protection I and Unbreaking I, plus +10% max health and +5% speed.
Basket tries combining them at the anvil and finds the trade isn't worth it. One order loses the blast protection and the max health bonus, and the other knocks the protection down to Protection III. All it adds is Unbreaking. "I'm not getting anything out of it." The leggings get worn as they are.
One more run
With three potatoes left, it's the last run of the episode. There's another barred, gated room on the left that might be next. Torches on the hotbar, they push in past more spawners and another wave of creepers. The creepers go down, and then the smoke arrives.
"Smoke monster! Oh my god!" A moment later, chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was killed by magic." "This is going to be in every episode."
This episode's deaths, going by the counter: Scoti 1, Basket 0. It ends at Scoti 135, Basket 117. Three of the seven black shrines are down. The monument isn't shown, so the totals carry over: 15 of 16 crystals and 10 of 12 emerald blocks.
