The last episode stopped at the top of a set of stairs going down, and this one starts by taking them. The counter opens at Scoti 135, Basket 117. Last time they called this room a safe zone from the white smoke.
The floor is lava
There's a ladder at the bottom, and below that a room with a netherrack floor. "The floor is netherrack, which leads me to believe that it will disappear easily." It's a trap, and there's lava down there as well, so water goes down the shaft to put it out. One of them explains what the trap was for. "It was a detection thing, so you would go down and freak out and try to go up the stairs. Basically everything you just did."
One of them offers to clear the room the loud way. "Do you want me to TNT trap everything?" Basket is carrying an Arcane Bomb, a thrown trap that goes off two seconds after it lands. The target turns out to be too far away, so they go down on foot instead. Under the netherrack it really is lava. "The floor is lava. Literally."
Creepers with jumps
The room keeps going. "I thought it was just like a booby-trapped room, but no." Charged creepers show up, and they can jump. "They got jumping. The creepers have jumping." Blaze spawners come next, and one of them works on taking those out while the other cuts across to something in the ceiling. Two blaze spawners go down, along with a creeper hole.
There's a chest in here too, and a sign about spectral dust. Then a creeper drops in from above and the fight spills into fire. The explanation comes afterward: right above the catwalk was a hole with a spawner and a creeper inside it, and another spawner was hiding behind a painting.
Watch overhead
So the new rule is to look up. "We have to watch our ceiling, I guess." The bridge building turns into an argument about safety rails. "You don't need this stuff on the sides, man. You're wasting blocks." "I like having safety rails." One of them takes the spectral dust back toward the start, and the other doesn't want to stay behind alone. "I don't want to be alone right now."
Flaming Golem
There are a couple of ways to go, and they take different ones. "Don't split the party. Watch overhead." Charged creeper chutes keep turning up, and there's a long, twisting way down with fire at the far end. Then something catches one of them on the path. Chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Flaming Golem."
Scoti leaves the game soon after. Basket goes to see whether Scoti's gear can be saved, and it can't. "No, his stuff is gone, so we don't have to worry about that." Basket's guess is that a creeper dropped down a chute and blew it all up.
This episode's deaths, going by the counter: Scoti 1, Basket 0. It ends at Scoti 136, Basket 117. The monument isn't shown, so the totals carry over: 15 of 16 crystals and 10 of 12 emerald blocks.
