The hunt for the missing black shrine goes on. Team B.S. starts in a small room they've checked and called "pretty safe," and the counter opens at Scoti 140, Basket 118.
Through the walls
Rather than take the open halls, they dig. "I would vote inside the wall still." The walls are full of silverfish, and the tunnel comes out at a lava room. One of them pours water down to cool some of the lava, and there are blazes down in the pit. There are also "bow guys" and "regular sword guys."
Then something starts hitting them that neither can see. "They're invisible? Yes." One of them gets knocked off a half-built bridge by an invisible spider and drops into the room below.
Two deaths for Basket
Chat reads "BasketMC was slain by Flaming Golem," and the counter goes to 119. Basket gears up from the chests and heads back before the dropped items despawn. "My timer's ticking."
It goes badly. They throw down blocks to seal a gap, and one of them is on fire with two hearts left. Then chat reads "BasketMC was slain by Spectral Spider," and the counter hits 120. By the time anyone reaches the first pile, there's nothing left but "a bunch of bones and arrows and poisonous spiders."
The orbs behind the glass
Then a find. "I found where the orbs are!" They sit behind glass, and the plan is to throw an ender pearl over, break the glass and pearl back out. "I would do it with not very much stuff."
The pearl gets thrown. Chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was burnt to a crisp whilst fighting Flaming Golem," and the counter goes to 141. "I thought for sure I'd just ender pearl back."
Chasing the gear
There are "about three and a half minutes to get my stuff back." The new plan is to hand off the good gear, take ender pearls and try "the miracle throw." Chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Dark Golem (Elite)," and the counter hits 142. "I didn't even get to my stuff."
That's where the title comes from. "You chose to lose your stuff." "So did you." In the end, "we both made the choice."
They do find the gear, "covered in spiders." Before anyone can grab it, "it just despawned." Chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Infernal Flamefang," and the counter goes to 143.
The last shrine
Back at the glass, the talk turns to how far the orbs blow up. "We can shoot it from there, and we'd be fine." Basket has the bow out, and a moment later chat reads "You have destroyed a shrine. You have destroyed all black shrines. The curse that protects the black crystal has been lifted."
That leaves a choice. "Do we want to try and get that god armor, or do we want to just fight this end boss?" "Let's fight this end boss, man."
Five deaths this episode: Basket twice, Scoti three times. The counter ends at Scoti 143, Basket 120. The monument isn't shown, so the totals carry over: 15 of 16 crystals and 11 of 12 emerald blocks.
