Scoti opens this one as "UT3 After Dark." The death counter reads Basket 47, Scoti 38, and it doesn't move all episode. One of them has just noticed they aren't wearing boots. Fixed. The plan is to secure the rest of the stronghold roof and empty every chest they can find.
Diamonds and a wooden hand
The first chest has a diamond chestplate in it. "Hooty hoo." They debate leaving it until they find an enchanting table, then take it along anyway, with a bottle of enchanting and a speed potion. Around the corner is a big wooden statue of a hand ("look at this abomination") and a sign about a giant hand rising forth to provide safety. The rest of the sign warns that outside Azarian forces may try to steal the alchemy supplies. It's signed by a high wizard whose name looks like Amlup with the letters mixed up, and they spend a minute trying to remember the word for that.
A trapped chest turns out to be a troll: iron, some potions, sticks. They grab the brewing stands. Another chest has a glistering melon, ender pearls, a fire charge and a cake. It is not a lucky cake. In the witch room the witches are mostly fighting each other, and the furnaces each hold a blaze rod. One of them takes an energy drink and leaves the poison antidotes to the other. "I hate them."
The lapis cave
Back on the main level there's a cave lined with lapis blocks, and a skeleton spawner on the wall outside it. Out of cobblestone, they bridge over on half slabs. Inside it's zombies and skeletons galore, two more spawners in the wall, and a front door that has to be shut fast. Scoti is nearly out of arrows ("I'm in a really bad situation here, Basket"), Basket hands over 17, and they charge. The spawners go.
The chest at the bottom is a good one. A Steel Skin Serum, with mining fatigue mixed into its good effects. Enchanted books, including Thorns III and Sharpness III. Two Huntsman's Bows at Power III. And under a row of signs that just say "pumpkin pumpkin pumpkinblur," a chest with the Pumpkin Battle Helmet: Protection III, Fire Protection II, Feather Falling II, Respiration IV, Aqua Affinity I.
Scoti puts it on. "I'm Pumpkin Scoti." Scoti also has a lot of arrows sticking out. "It's like going trick-or-treating in Minecraft."
Gray wool, and a two wool special
They call the stronghold done and head back to base. At the monument the gray wool goes in, right after pink. "Gray wool, man." The black wool, they agree, is the hardest one. The extra wool chest is filling up, and there are plenty of Azarian gems.
Then, instead of stopping: "It's a two wool special!"
Losing Your Marbles
The next area is all quartz and glass, and it's the light gray wool. It doesn't stay friendly long. Creepers come first, then skeletons with names over their heads. "Marble Archer." They carry magical bows and they hit hard. Zombies show up with swords that take three or four hearts in one hit. Scoti charges down the middle on three hearts. "I never think ahead."
They light up the spawner and break the blocks around it so they can torch every side. Off in the back, blocks that look like lava keep shooting into the air and dropping back down. One of them takes so many arrows they look like "a hedgehog or a porcupine." Somebody picks up a record, too.
There's an Enderman wandering nearby, and one of them may have looked at it. The idea is to end the episode with it in the background. Two zombies come in at the same time. "That was a bad idea." The counter still reads Basket 47, Scoti 38.
