The last episode ended with "Fleecy box or bust," and this one starts with a creeper. "Oh, no, it's going to get me! Oh, no, almost!" Nobody dies, and the counter reads Scoti 57, Basket 53, the same as at the end of Part 8. It stays there all episode.
Down below
They're down below now, and nobody is sure that's an improvement. Ghasts have destroyed blocks, the walls are full of silverfish, and the two of them keep hitting each other. "Stop it." Spiders keep coming from a spawner somewhere, maybe "way up there above us." One spawner gets broken, but the spiders look like they're coming from the middle, near a tower ringed with spawners. The plan is to stay away from that tower and bridge up along the left.
The spawner in the wall
There's another spawner in a wall over there. It turns out to be "creepers with TNT and then it looks like potion head guys." One of them covers it while the other builds a wall, and some fences nearby are "actually helping us right now."
Black wool
Then they're in. The chest holds three blocks of black wool. "There's only three black wool in here, dude." Each of them takes one. "I got one." "I have one too." Then: "Oh, my big guys are here. Run!"
The sprint home
Speed kicks in, the fire protection on their armor helps, and they head for the torches that mark their tunnel, past endermen, skeletons and zombies. "So we check out the other tunnel now. Just kidding." On the way back they thank anyone who sat through this whole level. "You can say we cheated, you can say we wussed out, but you know what? We did it and that's what matters." They put it down to the potions and the enchanted diamond armor.
Three blocks on the monument
Back in the safe room, a diamond block and the brown wool come out of an ender chest, and they head to the monument. Basket's black wool goes in, then the brown wool and the diamond block.
That leaves two wool. They also note the last intersection was switched around, so the rest might not be as hard, "but it's kind of hard to say. It just sort of depends on how you approach it." If each one takes ten episodes, "we'll see you in January 2015." They call it a short one and plan to meet back at the intersection next time.
