Castle attack, live on stream this time, so some of the lines are answers to a chat the viewer cannot see. They do not have a water bucket, which is not ideal for a castle surrounded by lava. They will probably find one in a chest somewhere.
Over the wall
A new path built at the end of the last session gets them across without touching the ground. Then the choice: go through the front door, which is probably a trap, or go to the wall and work down through it. Wall attack.
There are two spawners on top of the wall, and the skeletons hit hard enough to knock someone back. The spawner goes down, and the torches go down by the dozen. Commenters on YouTube have apparently noticed how the torch spam has grown over the years.
A sign and a trap
Inside the wall, a layer of four stone slabs looks suspicious. This is where we jump underneath Bowser, one of them says. A peek into a gap gets a hiss, a creeper and some redstone. Then better news: an ender chest they can use, a chest of building blocks, and a sign. Emeralds 35 and 36 are in the castle ahead. Emeralds 31 to 34 are in the city.
The hallway past the gate is the trap. There are strings behind the gate nobody could see, and TNT, so that whoever trips it runs back onto the bridge, which then blows up. They work it out before that happens, put some of the floor back, and deal with the witches spawning nearby.
The ghast
Fun path or smart path? Smart path. One of them pillars up to a tower and starts making ladders. Then a ghast shows up, and the chat reads BasketMC fell from a high place.
He did it on purpose, he says. He jumped so his gear would land somewhere he could get it back. Scoti puts it all in a chest, along with a comment that Basket has some good gear. It is his old gear. The ghast is too high to hit with arrows, and at some point it sets the inn on fire again.
A brick house
They need somewhere safe to sleep before the next push, so a little brick hut goes up below the tower with a bed inside. The wolf can't blow it down. Someone also brought along a magic reusable painting, and has learned not to right-click with it, or it goes on the wall and is gone.
Building a foothold
Up top, the plan is to build a platform and walls and fight from behind them. Skeletons keep spawning on the turrets. One of them places a block behind himself first, then builds out, and they shoot from cover while more spawn. A ghast spawns and dies in one hit. Then there is a blaze, and a blaze spawner on the far side, with the mobs fighting each other.
A skeleton spawner goes out. They fall back to eat some bread, and that is where the episode runs out.
