The gold armor from last time is a matching set, and you can't break up a matching set. So it all goes on one person. Basket ends up wearing a cape and a full suit of gold, and they head back into the castle to wreck face.

On a scale of one to get out

First stop is the creeper stairs. One of them goes up and comes straight back down, retreating. On a scale of one to let's get the heck out of here? Let's get the heck out of here. There were four or five witches up there, no spawner for them that he could see, and a bunch of skeleton spawners.

Some of the castle has been obsidianized, which makes breaking through slow. A blaze spawner gets taken out by someone who is on fire for most of it. Then a chest turns up something made for exactly this place: the Cage Crusher 3000, a gold pickaxe for breaking spawners. It has Unbreaking V, Fortune III and only Efficiency I, but gold breaks things faster anyway. A gold sword with Unbreaking V comes along too.

X marks the spot

Up top, one of them spots it: an X in the roof. X marks the spot. He thinks there might be an emerald up there. The other one cannot see what he is talking about, and for a while they are pointing at two different things.

Getting around is its own problem. Every tower top has a chest and no path to it, and the stairs are obsidian and very hard to find. This is some classic teamwork right here, folks. One of them pillars up onto a roof on his own, dies up there and needs help getting his stuff back. Why didn't you tell me you were doing that? I thought we were doing it independently.

A visit from the mapmaker

Partway through, renderXR, who made Myriad Caves, turns up on the stream and follows. What's up, renderXR? We're playing your map.

The tower chests are worth the climb. One has magic books for Fire Protection III, Sharpness II, Unbreaking III, Efficiency II and Blast Protection III. The next has Fortune II, Projectile Protection III, Unbreaking III, Power II and Looting II. Another is full of potions, and there are magic arrows too.

What was under the X

Getting to the X takes a plan. One of them pillars up on sand while the other covers him, and a water bucket goes down on the tower below in case he has to jump. He breaks into the middle and shouts that it is an anvil. Whatever he saw, it does not seem to survive, and renderXR thinks it broke.

Inside an obsidian box with only one way in, between two fires, is a chest that is not trapped. Three golden apples, two stacks of torches, two diamond shovels, XP bottles and a diamond axe called Flame Cutter, with Looting I, Knockback I and Fire Aspect II. Not as good as the one he already has.

One more emerald

Getting down goes less well. One of them rides a waterfall and hits obsidian instead of water at the bottom. I'm so good at this game. His stuff is scattered, some of it in the water, and then the stairs vanish again. There is a spider spawner underneath, which explains the spiders.

Behind the castle is a lit-up opening, so they water bucket across the lava lake to reach it. There's an emerald. They note that emerald blocks would not help them here anyway, since the rules forbid trading with villagers, and one of them is reminded that he lost the very first emerald in the map. They grab the good stuff and head carefully back to base.
