This is the level where no map maker has gone before. It's a stack of floating floors in a dark cave, and a lot of what holds it together is invisible.
So close yet so far
There's a thing in the middle. The first guess is jet boosters, or Boots of Leaping, something you pick up at the start that takes you up the level. Then they realize it's the wool, right there, in a cage over the floor. A sign next to it says so close yet so far. There are barrier blocks around it, on the sides and down below, so you have to go somewhere else to get there.
One of them figures it's a dropper map. The other doesn't. It's a regular tunnel map, he says, except you can see through the walls. Normally a creeper room would be hidden, but here you can see it. You just don't know where the opening is.
Payback for earlier
They light the bottom area so whoever dies can get back without a mess. Stairs lead down to another area with creeper spawners, just two of them. A shortcut button works and takes them out by the cliffs, where they once did the bridges in reverse. Not very convenient, but thanks.
They put a combat bed down and sleep in it. Right after that, the chat reads BasketMC was shot by Scoti_Garbidis. Is that payback for earlier, someone in the chat asks. How convenient that they just set the bed. It was a Power IV bow, and Scoti points out that Basket told him to get good stuff, so he blames Basket. The death counter is 122 to 87, and somebody is catching up.
Invisible doorways
A chest has an iron pickaxe, and a golden apple that gets snatched before anyone else can see it. Then iron armor and a new shield. It's going to be harder to hide traps in all this, one of them says, and the other has a feeling it's going to get crazier. Spawners sit on the floors above. Creepers can't see through barrier blocks, so the blocks can break line of sight. The way to the special box up top turns out to be invisible doorways on the left and the right.
There's a lot of near friendly fire. I almost shot your ear off. I'd be sad if you killed me again. This level is cool, they agree, and very different. One of them likes it way more than the lava one, though the lava one was so hard you can't really be mad about it.
The Depth Plunger
Poisoned and low on chicken, they get to the box. Inside the Grand Treasure Chest there are golden apples and a helmet, the Depth Plunger, with Protection III, Respiration III, Aqua Affinity and Unbreaking III, part of a Veteran Set. Basket takes it. There's a cake too, which they can't eat. That's the end of an episode, and the end of a level.
