Team B.S. starts Corona Trials, the fourth Untold Stories map by renderXR. The first area is a snowfield full of traps, and it ends with the first wool of the run.
Reading the rules
The lobby has the usual CTM rules: survive any way you can, place the special wool on the monument, never use peaceful, stay inside the map. This one is on Hard. The bonus goal is to find 27 hidden, numbered emeralds and throw them all into lava. They tried for the emeralds last time and want to get them this time.
The map also uses a different food system. Eating heals you directly instead of filling your food bar, so they can sprint as much as they like. Then a round of confusion over the death counter button, which gets switched off and on again before anyone is sure it is on.
Ice plains and the first emerald
They spawn into snow and ice spikes, on Minecraft 1.12.2. The first chest holds a copy of everything they had just crafted.
Green glass up the path turns out to mark an emerald. One of them wants to leave it where it is so it can't get lost this early. The other goes and gets it anyway, and insists on being the one to carry it.
Don't break the fireplace
There is a house around the corner. Inside, a log sits in the fireplace. Someone takes the log, the trap goes off, and they run while the house blows up. Nobody dies, and the emerald survives. The lesson gets said out loud: don't go breaking logs in fireplaces. In a renderXR map, assume everything is trapped.
The Tune of Gale
Across the snow a chest sits on a sea lantern. Inside is the Tune of Gale. It sounds like a music disc, but it is a weapon, with Sharpness and Knockback. A creeper waits up the hill and they go around it.
A tower nearby has gear, torches, bread and stone weapons, and it keeps going down. One of them points out that this map is supposed to be easy. Then a zombie shows up in an enchanted helmet, which they put down to Hard mode.
The spider spawner
At the bottom the tower opens into mossy stone corridors, and a spider spawner. Spiders keep coming while they try to wall off the room with dirt. Friendly fire is on, which one of them remembers in the middle of the fight. One of them gets down to a single heart before the spawner is lit up and the opening is blocked.
The torches run out right about then.
Pink wool
Past the spiders is a room with the pink wool behind iron bars. It took the whole episode, and they end it there.
