"So should we put this on there now?" "Yeah, do it." There's a small worry that the map will just end on them. "If we get an end screen, it'll be fine." The black wool goes on its pedestal, and the screen says it: Corona Trials has been completed. In chat, renderXR says congratulations and hopes they enjoyed the map. "Thank you renderXR!"
Fireworks
Behind the monument there are now spawners shooting fireworks, which they think is a clever way to do it. There's a sign for a fireworks disabler too, and one of them turns it off. There's XP coming from somewhere as well. "It's pretty slow, but I'll AFK here for a couple days."
But the wool isn't everything. "Let's try and complete this game, man."
The emerald box
One of them had spotted the emerald box, so they head for the west side of the building. The plan: get to the middle level, where the four corner towers are, and come up in the back right corner. There are ender pearls if the bridge over the void goes wrong. Somebody starts shooting at them right away. "Who's shooting me?"
Guardrails go up. "This is not my MO at all. I just want to beat the game, man. I want to feel like a winner." Someone also expects the worst: "There's gonna be an evoker and all my stuff's gonna go into the void."
Up the outside
Blaze archers spawn on the bridge, so they'd rather build an outside path and dig through as little obsidian as possible. Opening a checkerboard netherrack floor turns up a charged creeper right overhead ("Oh god oh god oh god, back up") and a skeleton head. The wall turns out to be one block thick, so the climb moves to the outside of the building, with ghasts around. A fake window with iron bars ends up helping, because there's something to build against. Then the ladders run out. "You're the ladder man now."
At the top: "Oh, there's the emerald. I'm a pro. I did it." Then "Retreat! Retreat!" They get out, and the ladder man is happy. "I was a part of a team and we won and I did it."
Emerald ore on the wall
They dig back across to the planets. The hint, it turns out, was some emerald ore on a wall nobody had noticed, and one of them only found it by climbing up somewhere new. "Yeah, we just beat the freaking game." "We beat everything in the game."
It's bittersweet. They call it their first total complete victory on a CTM in a year and a half or more, maybe ever. They go through the maps that went wrong: an emerald block mined with stone, a boss whose drop they couldn't use, and Untold Stories 3, where the first emerald was already gone.
The chest
Back at the monument, the chest on Basket's screen holds 25 emeralds, and another one goes in from the hotbar. Scoti stands by the pillars while they look it over.
"I think we're done. That's a short stream, man." They thank everyone who watched along the way. One of them admits to being pretty sporadic lately. "So we'll see you guys in the future." "Don't know when."
