A title card reads "GopherCraft TerraFirmaCraft Season 1, Episode 2, Swine" over Basket's caveman character. Basket comes back "dying of thirst," with bubbles showing on the thirst bar. Basket never got off the thatch perch last time: zombies all night, then rain, then another night and an empty stomach, so Basket logged out. One zombie is still standing nearby.
Banana saplings
First Basket has to break a way down off the perch, block by block. "Wow, this takes a long time." Thirst brings on slowness, so the next stop is fresh water, where Basket stands until the thirst bar fills and eats some grain while waiting. Then it's on to a tree Basket believes is a banana tree. Breaking through a branch drops a Banana Tree Sapling, and Basket leaves the trunk standing, figuring the leaves and branches will grow back, then does the same to a second one. With each season lasting a real week on this server, Basket wonders how long the fruit will take, since harvest comes in autumn.
Chat shows optimus1971 joining. Basket types "zug zug optimus," optimus1971 answers "brak bum whump," and Steel_Douglas writes "in a bit."
A ravine
Farther along the hills, Basket finds a ravine. "I don't think I can mine up that stuff yet," Basket says, without the know-how for better tools, and notes a spot of what might be copper "based on the color." Barley turns up in the grass. Basket also warns that "things can kinda collapse" in this mod, so open ground like this needs care.
Two pigs
A pig stands near the shore. Right-clicking it with an open hand shows "Male," and so does the second one. The inventory is too full for all the meat a pig drops, so Basket notes where they are and keeps going. A Peach Tree Sapling comes off another tree. Night falls, and Basket picks a grassy spot by the water near the pigs, plants torches, and calls it "my base for now." A patch of hoped-for clay turns out to be plain sand.
Clay pots and a fire pit
Over a hill Basket finds real clay and digs it out in the dark, hoping it won't cave in. Back at base, the clay gets shaped into a Clay Vessel and a Clay Jug. Firing them takes some figuring out. Basket digs a hole, sneaks to place the pots inside, adds eight straw and then logs, and uses the Fire Starter. The first try fails. The second one catches.
The pig in the fire
"Oh, that pig scared me." One of the pigs wanders straight into the burning pit and dies there. "So it killed itself," Basket says, and the raw pork is now lying on the ground. A zombie comes up the hill too, and Basket swings at it from higher ground with the stone hammer. The drops can't be left to despawn, but there is no room to carry them, so spare clay goes back into clay blocks and Basket keeps shuffling the inventory until the fire burns out.
Getting the pots out
The fired pots sit in the pit, and clicking won't pick them up. Basket even logs out and back in. Then Basket asks for help on voice, and a voice answers: "shift-right-click." That works. Out come a Ceramic Vessel and a Ceramic Jug. Basket sets a vessel down, opens it, and packs the raw pork and other items inside, then throws out dirt and other junk.
Basket ends the episode holding a bone ("how fitting, a caveman basket with a bone"), with plans to cook the pork, cut more trees and gather resources. A last shot shows the caveman at the base among the torches before the end card.
