A card reads "Episode 02, GopherCraft UHC 10" over a dark cave. Basket and pulse2010, the purple team, are still underground below the flood, and on the Tab list all eight players are near full health.
Iron before monsters
Basket puts down a furnace first. The idea is to have armor before heading into a cave where there are actual monsters. The furnace turns iron ore into ingots, and the plan is a chestplate for both teammates, then pants, then boots. A helmet can wait. "We still don't have any apples, so that's a thing."
As the one running the season, Basket also stops to check the map's game variables on the sidebar. "It correctly knows" how many players there are.
Basket crafts iron armor at the crafting table, a set of armor goes on the ground for the teammate, and the two head for the cave.
Zombies in the dark
The cave is quiet at first. Then a zombie turns up right beside pulse2010, now in white armor. A yellow line appears in chat: "Soul Crusher will wake in 2 minutes!"
Lava under the water
The cave leads to a ravine. "There's a skeleton in the ravine, watch out." The plan is to attack from above with lava, so a bucket gets handed over. Getting there means swimming, and the flood turns out to be fast. "We can move so quickly in the water." "Oh, look at all the squid." "Who knew the great flood would be so peaceful?"
The lava is the hard part. From inside the water it is close to impossible to see where the source block is. One of them digs a little air pocket, and one floats in the water so the nameplate marks where the lava sits. Red lines come up in chat: "Soul Crusher is coming!" and "The World Border is shrinking 300 blocks over 5 minutes." "Oh, the border is shrinking."
"Okay, I have lava." The Lava Bucket tooltip shows in Basket's hotbar. Nobody sees anything good in the ravine, so the new plan is to dig down along its side instead of swimming in, and to close the tunnel up behind so the water doesn't pour in.
Skeletons and creepers
"I took no health damage, but there are still skeletons." The tunnel opens into the ravine, and then into a cave. "There's a creeper right there." "And there's another creeper." Back at the tunnel, Basket smelts more iron at the furnace.
ty750 runs out
On the Tab list, ty750 of the cyan team is down to four hearts, then lower. Drowning, maybe, or poison. Then chat says it plainly: "ty750 starved to death." "Soul Crusher will wake in 2 minutes!" comes right after, and the gg's roll in from BasketMC, optimus1971, OjiiOtousan and ty750.
"Okay, I survived." A block goes across the tunnel, which "might help reduce pathing." "That's the end of this episode." Basket is alive underground with pulse2010 nearby, and the end credits follow.
