Episode 3 picks up in the Nether, where Basket and fluentchaos have dug their way into a fortress. The plan from day 2 still stands: blaze rods and potions. In the nether brick halls, they run into blazes.
Blazes in the halls
A blaze drifts out of the dark close enough to fill the corridor, and fire charges come flying. Basket swings a stone sword, and the pair work along the halls with zombie pigmen walking around them. Chat posts that BasketMC has earned Monster Hunter.
A chest with Nether wart
Deeper in the fortress, Basket opens a chest and finds Nether wart inside, the other half of what a potion needs. With that, the team heads back toward the portal.
Looking for the portal
Getting back is harder than getting there. The way out leads past wide lava lakes and soul sand, and the path back to the portal is hard to pick out. fluentchaos waits at the edge of a lava lake while Basket looks around. Chat stays lively in the meantime: Recabilly asks "strip mining?", Lapis_Lauri answers "stair step to bedrock", Scoti_Garbidis calls that "BORING", and Lapis_Lauri adds "in search of caves".
Through the portal
They do find the portal, with cobblestone stacked right beside it. The cobblestone gets cleared and fluentchaos steps into the purple swirl first. A moment later chat reads "fluentchaos suffocated in a wall." Recabilly writes "rip", Lapis_Lauri "OH NO" and Scoti_Garbidis "gg". fluentchaos answers "yours truly" a little later, and Scoti_Garbidis adds, "probably had a hard time finding your way back to that portal :D".
Basket is now the last of Team Orange. Basket stays at the portal for a while, sorting gear in and out of a large chest set up next to it, and earns Cow Tipper along the way.
Out through the wall
Then Basket tries the portal too. The screen turns purple, and the hearts start dropping. Basket works it out right there: "Oh, I know why I'm suffocating. Our portal's outside the wall." Chat posts "BasketMC suffocated in a wall," and the death screen comes up with a score of 282. Lapis_Lauri, Recabilly, Ballentine17, Twinkles, ectorvynk, albinac and Kondrik all react in chat.
Spectating
Basket's game mode changes and the view moves up to the glass lobby platform where the season started, with fluentchaos floating nearby. The Tab list shows all ten names, but BasketMC and fluentchaos have no hearts left. The other eight are still in the match: Twinkles and albinac, Lapis_Lauri and ectorvynk, Ballentine17 and Recabilly, Kondrik and Scoti_Garbidis. Basket is spectating when the episode ends, and no winner is shown. This is the last episode of the season.
