The challenge
The June 2014 Minecraft Hardcore Challenge had an unusual objective: marry a witch. That meant capturing a witch, then building it a house, decorating the house, landscaping it and fencing it in. Host Michael Deering added special rules: gather wood and saplings in a forest on day one, return to the mushroom biome on the morning of day two, and never go back to the forest. All wood after that comes from your own tree farm.
The standard rules covered no harming passive mobs until you have bred replacements, no AFK crop growth, no sleeping in beds and everything on camera at normal speed. Each episode is one Minecraft day and night, in hardcore mode on Minecraft 1.7.9. The ten episodes, Episode 0 through Episode 9, went up between June 2 and June 30, 2014.
