The title card reads "S1E08." The episode picks up in the same moment Episode 7 ended, in the underground room at Senior_Lo and Quad14's base. Quad14 is standing in the room for a second or two. Then the chat shows "A creeper blasted Quad14!" and "Senior_Lo was overwhelmed by zombies!" Basket types "lol," and then Basket is the only one left.
Sorting the pile
The blast leaves a mess of dropped items on the floor, and a zombie wanders in on top of it. Basket crafts a chest and starts sorting. "So I'll put your stuff in there." It goes slowly: "Not mine, not mine, not mine, not mine."
Nobody can talk right now. Basket figures the other two are "trying to probably just find a closer spot to here." While waiting, Basket puts some fortification on top of the base and "built a little gate basically so that the mobs couldn't get in." Meanwhile the chat keeps reporting Quad14: "Quad14 is swimming with the fishes!", "Quad14 fell to the hunger of the horde!", "Quad14 was shot by a skeleton." Basket guesses they're dying on purpose to get closer, "or they're just dying a lot."
A cave under the base
Basket finds a cave nearby and goes looking for iron. "Got to miss all the stuff in my base. I had a pretty good branch mine and enchanting table and everything set up." The hope is that the other two "come back and survive and then we can figure out which base we want to keep." Then: "Oh man, yeah, diamond." There's gold right next to it.
A spider catches Basket off guard. "Where'd he come from? ... must've just spawned through the ground." Basket gets through it and decides lighting up that spot should do.
Back at the base
With iron and redstone in hand, Basket heads back up, finds the furnaces and starts smelting iron and gold. There's string, so Basket makes a bow, but "we don't really have very many arrows." Basket checks for public arrows: "Three? Or two?"
Creepers are a worry up top. "They're getting out of this building somehow. I thought we could seal it in pretty well."
Trees and exclamation points
"I'm sort of just waiting for my buddies to show up," Basket says, and goes to chop trees and collect saplings while it's still day.
Then the chat lights up. "Quad14: were coming back!!!!" Basket answers "awesome!!!!" and remembers, "you can yell if you use a lot of exclamation points." Quad14 asks "u got food!!!!" and signs off with "bye!!!!" A little later: "Quad14 starved to death."
The only one left
Basket goes back underground for more lapis and iron, and admits, "I might just be the only one left." There's gold beside a lava pool, and the chat adds "Senior_Lo is swimming with the fishes!" Then more redstone: "I need the redstone. Got big plans."
Getting back is harder than expected. "Oh, I'm lost." Basket finds the way eventually and lays out the plan: smelt everything, then "maybe we'll make an automated or at least a semi-automated melon farm." Before that can start, a line pops up in the chat: "Incoming call from Quad14, pickup a smartphone to answer." The end card follows, with no gameplay after it.
