This is where Basket's time on the Hypermine Vanilla server starts. It's a first login, and night is already falling. Basket wanders a huge city at spawn, rides the minecart lines, collects a pile of gifts from other players, and builds a dirt hut in Scoti's yard. By the end, Basket is wearing borrowed diamond armor and has found a first diamond on the server.
Lost at spawn
"This is where I spawned in, and it's starting to turn night, which could be a problem." A sign says there's a starter kit nearby, so the search begins. There's a map on a wall, and another sign credits the iron farm to two builders and the iron cube to Lapis Lauri. A chest has a few things in it, and Basket takes some, not sure if this was the starter kit after all. The plan is to wait for daylight "so that I don't spawn any creepers."
At the iron farm, iron golems keep dying and dropping their iron. "This thing is really efficient, it's really spitting out a lot." Basket grabs some of it and plans better armor.
Riding the rails
"Time to go for a ride." Basket hops in a minecart and pushes a button. The line runs past a domed brick building, tall towers and glass buildings. One stop looks like a train station still under construction, with a supply room. "Looks like it's not finished. But it's pretty sweet."
Gifts at the tree
In the chat, preisi asks where Basket is. The answer is the town hall, by a lone tree with a sign: Sacred Hypermine Tree. soapthgr8 points out that the tree is "original worldgen." Then preisi types "i have something for you" and leaves a chest. Inside are stacks of food, two enchanted diamond pickaxes and three wither skeleton skulls. "What a deal, fortune and silk touch, cool." soapthgr8 offers rotten flesh, with "plenty more at the rotten flesh farm."
A dirt hut in Scoti's yard
"I am here at Scoti's place, I had some help finding it, and I am going to move in." Two stacks of dirt go up into a small hut on the lawn, with grass inside, one torch ("because I stole it") and a door. A sign goes up for BasketMC's dirt hut, so the owner of the yard won't think "somebody else moved in." Then come a chest, a crafting table, some wool from the sheep next door, and a bed.
Visitors
Kondrik and jandoncom stop by. "excellent starter hut," Kondrik writes, and jandoncom asks if it's a spawn house. "yeah, my dirt hut :D" Kondrik types "just some spares," and Basket is soon wearing a diamond helmet, chestplate and leggings. "not to be ungreatful, but no boots?" No boots, unfortunately.
Where it ends
After the end cards, the video comes back to a branch mine with Kondrik. "These are my first diamonds on the server." The chat log shows ectorvynk joining with "welcome Basket!" and, a little earlier, "BasketMC has just earned the achievement [Getting Wood]." On the achievements screen, Basket is far behind: "I'm short on achievement 'cause everybody gave me stuff." The video stops partway down a stone tunnel.
