The title card reads "Episode 2, Blaze Hunting," and the episode opens in the Nether. Basket follows Scoti_Garbidis through a Nether fortress, sword in one hand and a new 1.9 shield in the other, looking for blazes and their rods.
Into the fortress
Scoti_Garbidis leads the way down long nether brick corridors lit with torches. The first blaze goes down fast and a rod drops, though the sounds arrive late. "I think the server is having issues right now," one of them says. The directions come in pieces: through here, to the left, down past where they got the nether wart, then up again.
A farm made of holes
At the blaze spawner the plan gets more ambitious. The idea, as one voice explains it, is to dig out spots so the blazes "drop down one block like on our level," where the two of them can hit the blazes without getting shot. Every spot where a blaze could stand without falling gets filled in, and Basket spends a while placing cobblestone. It half works: "Oh, we got three things they dropped down into because I plugged this thing up."
There's a 1.9 lesson along the way, too. Swinging a sword now hits whatever is standing next to the target, so a zombie pigman nearby takes damage as well. "You're gonna hit him too, you're gonna die." In the chat, Scoti_Garbidis posts the result as a "poor man's blaze farm in nether fortress at 273 73 -154."
Burnt to a crisp
Then it goes wrong. "I'm gonna die!" The chat reports "Scoti_Garbidis was burnt to a crisp whilst fighting Blaze," and voodoobeard answers "aww." The talk turns to putting the dropped gear in a chest, and the list for the trip back is a bucket of water, a crafting bench, a wooden sword and food. Scoti_Garbidis leaves and rejoins the game, and the two swap coordinates for the hole they dug down from the surface. Basket crafts a sign and marks the tunnel.
A hallway full of blazes
By the time help comes back, the hallway is full again: "blazes and magma creams filling up this hallway." Basket fights one at point-blank range, the screen full of fire. Over voice comes the report of a giant magma cube killed "with a wooden sword." Out in the open Nether, a ghast drifts over the netherrack while Scoti_Garbidis walks below.
A portal on someone's roof
The last job is a better way home. Basket goes back to the overworld, digs up obsidian with a diamond pickaxe and builds a portal frame on a grassy hill by the sheep pens. Nobody has put up a sign there, but over voice the spot turns out to be someone's house, and voodoobeard is standing a few blocks away while the frame goes up. Basket lights it anyway.
It doesn't go to plan. The trip back out lands in a taiga forest instead, and the debug screen puts Basket at about 570, -327 on day 15, while spawn is "630 to negative 100." "We didn't come back the same spot." They break that portal and talk about building a matching one in the Nether near spawn, or right at the blaze spawner. The credits run to the end of the video with no gameplay after them.
