About a week into the new map, Basket has been busy off camera. The title card finds Basket in diamond armor with a wither skeleton skull for a helmet, one of "three wither skulls" collected so far. At some point, Basket says, it will be time to "get enough armor and kill the beacon guy." This episode is a short edited one: a look at the gear, then the first real build of the season, a fish market on the harbor.
Named gear and mending
Every piece in the inventory has a name now. Basket's Chestplate has Protection IV, Unbreaking III, Thorns II and Mending. Basket's Boots carry Depth Strider III, Feather Falling IV, Fire Protection IV and Mending. There's Basket's Pick! with Efficiency V and Unbreaking III, Basket's Bow with Power V and Flame, and a sword called Basket's Pillager with Sharpness IV and Looting III. Mending is the point of it all: "it repairs as I get XP, so hopefully I'll never have to replace it."
The books came from villagers. Basket keeps a small pen of them and trades with a librarian for an Enchanted Book with Mending. In the chat, Ballentine17 asks "so hows the mending book coming along." Basket also has two fishermen, and they are the reason for this episode's build. "What we need in this town is a fishing market."
A walk past the port
The fish come from an AFK fishing setup Basket says belongs to another player and is "only going to be here for a little while." The town has grown fast: a red and white lighthouse over the harbor, a windmill, and, in Basket's words, "railroad system plans."
Digging in by the water
The market goes into the hillside beside the harbor, where a sign already reads "Basket's proposed fish market." The plan is five chests across, a wall, then a door, with villagers living behind the counter. Basket's Pick! goes through sandstone so fast it surprises Basket, and the digging stops short of what might be another player's path. When the sun starts to set, Basket uses the server's sleep system, which puts "Make it: [day] | [Night]" buttons in the chat, and it's day again without a bed.
Basket crafts five chests and makes two of them trapped chests.
Can a baby zombie get up there?
One worry stops the build: could a baby zombie climb the half slab behind the counter and get at the villagers? Basket tests it right away in a flat test world. A villager goes into a stall behind a chest under a white roof, and Basket starts spawning zombies. Getting a baby one takes a while. "Okay, so it took a while. But I have a baby zombie in there. And he is not going up." Basket can hop up the step, but the zombie can't, so the design stays.
Spruce awning and a staff door
Back on the server, Basket "secretly" raises the whole deck a little, then tries spruce stairs for a roof. The first attempt isn't what Basket expected, and an open edge would let zombies stand there without burning, so Basket takes out a layer of the hillside and puts in a spruce awning over the counter, with stone and spruce behind it. An iron door with a button becomes the staff door, so mobs can't hide out in the space where the villagers will live. A second door goes in with no button, so the villagers can't get away.
The episode ends with Basket still filling gaps in the back room where the villagers will live. The credits run to the end of the video, with no gameplay after them.
