This stream runs about 67 minutes. It opens on a card reading "Hypermine Vanilla VOD" and "Cart Delivery Lines" with no episode number, so the number here comes from the playlist. It all happens in and under Basket Station on the Hypermine Vanilla server. The in-game chat shows Runwyld joining about 19 minutes in and JB_Warsmith waving "\o", but neither shows up on screen.
A new stop
Last stream ended with carts that wouldn't stop at the end of the line. Basket starts with "a solution" and pulls the old setup apart, moving it closer so the line comes up right against it. The new plan uses a block powered from the line to hold the cart until it's time to go, with repeaters on full delay to stagger things. A detector rail will go in later, since Basket can't craft one without going upstairs, and a hopper above it will one day drop the tokens that mark a cart as a caboose.
The first test goes half right. "It does actually stop where it's supposed to stop," Basket says, but the carts keep coming.
One item, three carts
Dropping one item should send up one cart. "I don't want lots of carts, just one." Three come up instead. Basket isolates the system and watches a hopper keep getting items even though there's a solid block between it and the cart. "Am I going crazy? That's not a thing, right?" The hopper is pulling the item back out of the cart. Basket moves the hopper line over and covers it, drops in one item, and gets one cart. "Okay, so now we're in business."
Furnaces versus blocks
Viewers say a furnace on top of a hopper stops this, where a regular block doesn't. Basket tests it with a dirt block: under the furnace, the hopper stays empty, and under a regular block, it picks the dirt up. The old system has a lot of hoppers, and swapping their blocks would take a lot of cobble, so that becomes "version 2.0 of my project."
A ladder turns out to be blocking the carts higher up, so Basket takes it out and lets the bunched-up carts sort themselves out.
Two carts, two spots
With one item, one cart goes straight to the engine spot. Then a rail flips direction when Basket powers a block next to it, so the detector rail moves. For the full test, Basket drops dirt in and watches. "Here goes one, and then two that goes over there. Amazing. Ta-da."
Clearing the waiting spots
Next, the engine and caboose waiting spots need to clear when new carts are on the way. The caboose line is easier to tap, so Basket puts a detector rail there and runs redstone over. That means a hunt for more redstone, and every pick in the chests seems to be Silk Touch. A lever hidden on the other side keeps the line powered until Basket moves it.
At the final test, Basket hits the button and wants "both these two guys to leave before the other guys arrive." They do. Picking a different destination now clears the old engine and caboose by itself.
The way back, and stray carts
Basket walks through where the carts go afterward: engines and cabooses get emptied, chest minecarts with items go through sorting, and empty ones go back into the stack. The storage is "a big lag monster" without furnaces.
There isn't enough rail to finish the rest of the line, so Basket starts the inner route and runs into a mystery: chest minecarts sitting in places they shouldn't be. Logging out and back in doesn't help. "That'll be a mystery I'll have to solve at some point." The credits run to the end with no gameplay after them.
