This stream runs about 66 minutes. It opens on a card reading "Hypermine Vanilla VOD" and "Small Station: Token Transport" with no episode number, so the number here comes from the playlist. In the in-game chat, Twinkles waves and asks "are you waving a flag? :P" Basket answers "nope, those are motion indicators." Twinkles later leaves with "see you later!" and comes back, and ectorvynk joins with "hi peeps :)".
Before work starts, Basket renames a pickaxe at an anvil to "Basket's Blue Fortune" (Unbreaking III, Efficiency IV, Fortune III, Mending) and tucks it into the ender chest.
Getting the tokens back up
Last time the engines and cabooses got an emptier. The items they drop pile up at the bottom, and they need to get back up to the hopper that feeds the destination token storage. Basket first thinks of an item elevator made of droppers, but it needs a two by three space and there isn't one. "So I might have to go with the rail route."
The plan: a chest minecart waits under the emptier and fills up, rides a spiral up to the top, empties into the hopper and comes back down. Basket starts at the top, building a small unloader that sends the cart back once its hopper has had items and run dry. A test chest minecart confirms the carts won't bump off the edge.
A supply run and the spiral
Powered rail runs short. Basket heads out, finds a chest of rail that another player left by a sign ("exactly what the doctor ordered"), and grabs smooth stone and cobble from a basement. Back at the station, the return line goes up as a zigzag of smooth stone bricks: powered rail on the straights, plain rail on the corners, levers for power.
The tour
Basket stops to show what a regular customer sees. You press a button for where you want to go, a chest minecart and a caboose come down with items in them, you hop in the passenger cart and the whole train leaves. Coming back, riders get off and the rest of the train drops below. A viewer calls it a station that makes trains. "Yeah, it does make trains." Vanilla carts can't link, so this is Basket's way to keep a train together. Down the line, Basket would like to write it up well enough that other players could build their own station and hook it into the network.
The bottom stop fights back
The bottom stop uses a detector rail, a sticky piston and a comparator that reads the cart. The first test cart doesn't stop at all. The next one pops off the track, and Basket blames "translocation stupidness." Along the way a missing bow turns up in the chest. "The hopper was keeping the bow safe."
The cart also leaves with one item at a time. Taking out one block makes it stop and wait. With 8 items in, it grabs 5; with 32, it grabs 6. Basket loops the signal through some repeaters to hold the cart longer, and with half a stack it leaves with 10, then 11. "So this is done. I mean, this could be a little bit cleaner, but functions."
What's left
The sorter's hoppers need filling almost all the way before items sort into them. Engine tokens can go into the main storage up top. Caboose tokens are harder: Basket plans a sorter that pulls them out, a lost and found chest for everything else, and a few hoppers along the lift that hand caboose tokens to the cart as it climbs. "I almost gave up and said okay, we'll just come back to this, but I was able to figure it out." The credits run to the end with no gameplay after them.
