This episode runs about 66 minutes and opens on a card reading "Episode 82" and "Iron Farm Rail Station." Basket heads back to the new small rail station by the iron farm on the Hypermine server, cutting through the Nether because "the rail is not quite down all the way to the station" yet. This time the work moves below the top floor, into the machines that sort the carts. Basket is the only player seen on screen.
Sand, a cactus and no string
At the station Basket grabs cactus and slime blocks, notices "a whole new structure right by the rail station" since the last visit, and goes looking for sand. There's none downstairs, so Basket takes a little from outside and plants the cactus up top. That is the spot where regular passenger carts will break. A trip into a nearby building tops up the ender pearls ("note to self, don't throw ender pearls at the glass"), but no string turns up, so the dispensers wait.
Pistons, slime and redstone
Back in the shaft, Basket counts nine blocks down from the buttons and builds the stack below them: a piston pointing down, a slime block, then a redstone block. Temporary walkways go in off to the side so nothing presses the buttons while blocks sit against them: "that'll break everything."
An ice floor and rows of droppers
Lower down goes the platform for the ice, where water will push items along. Rows of droppers point down so each one lets out a single item when it's powered from above. Basket goes to six per row "just to make sure I have enough." The counting slips once: one side should sit two blocks from the wall, and it turns out "there's actually only one away on this side." On the collection end there's water, packed ice and a water chute feeding a hopper, plus an iron door with a stone button so Basket can get in to fix things. The blocks keep running out, and more hoppers will need "a lot of trees."
Teaching the track to read carts
Next is the sorting logic. A hopper under a powered rail watches what passes over it, a comparator picks up the signal, and slabs let the redstone run under the rail. Basket flips the signal so the track's default is to go straight. If an engine comes through with a token, the track switches and sends the engine onto another track. Item filters wait for later: "once we're at 1.12, I'll worry about filters."
A second check handles chest minecarts. A hopper pulls one item out, a chest slows it down, and the comparator turns the cart down a loop where it gets the item back further on.
Furnaces or droppers
The next piece is a hopper with a furnace on top. When chat asks why, Basket explains that a hopper keeps checking for items above it, and a furnace on top lets it stop checking. A viewer points out that furnaces have their own downside and suggests droppers, as long as they aren't powered. "Potentially I'll change them to droppers."
A tower next door
Chat brings up the new tower beside the station, and Basket offers to snake the incoming rail away from it if it's in the way. Up on the top floor at night, Basket works out where riders will get out: a double door roughly here, stairs, and then a walking path into the farm. The idea is that someone picks Iron Farm at any station, rides over and walks in. The reply in chat is a plan to join the tower to the keep with a wall and a gate.
Where it stands
Back underground, an L-shaped run of hoppers confuses Basket until "I'm just taking it the wrong direction." The last piece lets an empty chest minecart borrow an item from a stack and hand it back. A test block moves through, and the stack is "back with its 64 items." The next job is a ramp up to the very top, "but unfortunately, we're out of time." Still to come are the dispensers, the ice and water, more hoppers, the item filters and that ramp. The end card follows the gameplay, with no clip after it.
