This episode runs about 64 minutes and opens on a card reading "Episode 101" and "Iron Farm Railway Cleanup." Basket checks a light at Basket Station that is nearly, but not quite, ready to switch off, then picks a job from the task signs: "Style Rail between Basket Station and Iron Farm St." The rail between the two stations works, but it still needs bridge work and tidying. "I don't think I'm ready for doing any redstone right now."
Packing for busywork
The redstone goes back in its chest. Out come torches, wood for fences, smooth stone for the bridges and a Silk Touch pick. Basket walks to the line instead of taking the train.
The template is a torch on each side of every set of three powered rails, so Basket matches the torches up along the track. Some torches in the area were placed by another player who has been lighting it up so nothing can spawn, and Basket leaves those alone.
A gravel problem
The first bridge has its bottom done but no supports, and the redstone under one lever was never finished. To power the rail from below, Basket breaks a block of the track bed and it drops flint instead of gravel. There is no spare to put back: "I should have thought of that." A placeholder block goes in so the line keeps working, ugly on purpose so it gets noticed and swapped out later.
Spruce run
Back at the station Basket grabs two stacks of gravel, then heads out to chop spruce, since the tunnels are meant to have spruce beams. The inventory fills up, so a temporary chest takes the overflow, and the saplings go back in the ground for next time. Basket sleeps through a night along the way, and Lapis_Lauri joins the game.
Copying the other bridge
To get the style right, Basket runs over to another bridge on the line and studies it: a lever on each side, powered rail running through, torches in a set pattern. On the bridge being fixed, the middle needs no supports and no extra powered rail. A light check finds a dark spot, so a row of torches moves over by one, and the lowest light level is now 8.
Spruce beams in the tunnels
Next come the spruce beams and cross beams. Basket keeps breaking blocks by accident and putting them back, and some sand has to be filled back in where a path was dug. In one of the small junction rooms the beams were facing the wrong way, so Basket turns them to point into the walls.
One bridge done
The last stretch is the floor. Redstone torches go in under the powered rails, granite is swapped for nicer blocks, and one piece of the pattern moves over because it sat a little too close to the next. Fences go across the bridge on both sides, and one more torch goes in where the light dropped to 7. "So this bridge is done."
With time running short, Basket tidies a little cave on the path, puts gravel where it belongs, and checks that the rail broken earlier is fixed. "Everything should still function when I log out." The path past the cave still needs work for another day.
