Episode 6 of Minimalist moves Team B.S. on to Futile Fortresses, the next 24x24x24 dungeon on Kaladun's complete the monument map. It is two stone castles facing each other, full of spawners. Basket and Scoti_Garbidis fight through both, plus a flooded sewer underneath, and come out holding the Magenta Wool. Nothing new goes on the monument yet.
One last look at the cave
The episode opens back in a cave of rock and lava. On the recording, last time "I lost half of our stuff and I died in here," and the Deaths board in the corner reads Scoti_Garbidis 6, BasketMC 2. They check a chest they skipped, which turns out to be a trapped one, and it gets broken. A Protection book and a stack of leather come out of it, and a chest at the bottom of a narrow shaft gets checked too. Then they head across the white path to the next dungeon.
Two castles and too many zombies
"There's two fortresses across from each other." Inside are stone brick halls, red carpet, and grassy rooms with spawners in them. They find an iron sword, then a chest with a helmet, a bow and arrows. Zombies keep coming, and some come from the side they had already cleared. "Oh, this is very bad." A skeleton spawner gets lit up, and still nobody can tell where the zombies are coming from.
The other castle
Climbing a ladder, one of them spots "a path to a whole 'nother wool," this one light blue. A sign beside the ladder says Dig up. The magenta is still missing, though, and the commentary works out that it must be across the way: "It's in the other castle. It's like Mario." Getting there means more fighting. "Who would have thought that just regular mobs could be such a pain?"
Skeletons and a sewer
The second castle brings "skeletons galore," then spiders under the floor with more spawners below them. Below that is a sewer, a long tunnel of water with zombies and creepers wading in from the dark. One of them is out of inventory space, so a chest gets left for the other. Somewhere in here a helmet changes hands: "you can have the cool helmet."
Magenta at last
Behind a cage of magenta glass sits a chest. Inside is the Magenta Wool, its tooltip reading "From Futile Fortresses," and it goes into Basket's inventory. A wall might hide a shortcut, but they skip it, since digging through walls would make them "cheaty McCheatersons."
Where it ends
Basket walks back up the white path to the base, where the ender chest waits. "I'm gonna throw a bunch of stuff in the ender chest and we'll end the episode. Next time we'll put a couple wools on the monument." Team B.S. sign off with the magenta wool in hand.
