Episode 23 of Minimalist picks up in the mossy dungeon from last time on Kaladun's complete the monument map. Team B.S. look for the emerald block, then move on to a gravel cave full of traps and a glacier full of pigmen, Yetis and ghasts. Scoti_Garbidis dies three times along the way, no wool reaches the monument, and the episode stops in the middle of a fight.
No emerald yet
They start by digging around the diamond ore in the wall: "Looking for an emerald. It might be by the diamonds here." Water poured in to hurt the mobs pushes them into a pile instead, and the chat reports that Scoti_Garbidis was slain by a cave spider. Scoti's gear comes back out of a room with "a rapid spawner" and a hopper clock still running. They search the basement and the corners, but the emerald does not turn up. "I vote we go to the next spot," and the plan is to use the fortune pick if they find one later.
Ore heads and falling gravel
The next area is a stone cave with mobs that have ore for heads. "Redstone heads." "Coal heads over here." One of them asks the other not to kill them because "they're dropping efficiency picks," and the diamond head guys mean "there's infinite diamonds here." Basket picks up a bow called Blast Cannon, with Power VI and Punch III but half the walking speed. They are short on blocks too, with only wood to build with.
Falling gravel traps are everywhere. A chest holds "all the magic books," enchanted books stacked up. On the recording: "this whole section was all set up to fall apart." There are three items in one spot, and "you have to have at least one of those to be able to beat the game"; one of them grabbed one. Then the Deaths board ticks up for Scoti_Garbidis again: "all that armor's gone," along with "a cool bow." The plan is a resupply at base.
The glacier
The recording picks up again with Scoti_Garbidis back in diamond armor and a sword called Forgeblade in Basket's hotbar. The next dungeon is packed ice and dark wooden stairs. "Be careful about putting down torches," since the ice melts. Pigmen and baby pigmen are already angry, and one mob gets named on the spot: "it's a yeti." A chest gives them armor and protection and unbreaking books, and the ghast spawners start coming out. With looting, the ghast tears pile up. Mobs keep spilling out of the walls, some from behind the wood.
Ghasts and the black wool
A chest of potions gives them regeneration and strength. Past mobs with pumpkin heads, one of them shouts, "Black wool! This is the way to the black wool." The room ahead has ghasts low over lava, plus mobs with bows. "I'm down to two hearts," and "if it wasn't for regen I'd be dead already." The board ticks to 20 for Scoti_Garbidis: "Where'd you die?" "On the other side." They come back with a stack of blocks and take out more spawners, including the arrow spawner at the top. One of them counts "20, 21 ghast tears" and leaves them in a chest. The last mobs seem to have thorns, so they back into a corner and swing.
Where it ends
"All right, dude, I gotta take a break. This is a real bad time to do it." The episode signs off mid-fight. After the end cards there are about two more minutes of footage: the chat says Scoti_Garbidis left the game, Basket keeps swinging at pigmen and Yetis in an ice doorway, checks a chest of ghast tears and opens the pause menu. The black wool has not turned up on screen. The Deaths board reads Scoti_Garbidis 20, BasketMC 13.
