Solar Shrine: Minimalist Episode 25

  • Published on

Episode 25 of Minimalist takes Team B.S. into the Solar Shrine on Kaladun's complete the monument map. It opens with a little emerald mining, then a garden full of charged creepers, hallways over void water, and a room where two souls have to go back on their altars. The lever gets pulled and a portal appears, but the episode ends with Scoti_Garbidis dead.

Emeralds first

Basket swings a pickaxe called Bluespike, with Fortune III, at emerald ore. On the recording: "so hopefully we'll get two emeralds." After some housekeeping off camera, they leave the Withered Soul and a resplendent soul in a chest "just in case we fall into the void and something terrible happens," and head for "the solar shrine."

The garden

Past the ice is a grassy room with trees, flowers and a little house, and spawners on both sides. They back up, potion up with strength and fire resistance, and charge in. Charged creepers come at them, and "there was a lot of exploding going on." Scoti_Garbidis ends up on fire in the grass. The recording calls it "really peaceful looking," right before more mobs pour out.

Sun Warriors and void water

Skeletons in gold armor, labeled Sun Warrior, swing purple enchanted swords. Inside the building the hallway splits left and right, with skeletons on both sides and void again. Mobs throw blindness potions, and "they have jump boots or something." The water in the room is void, so they stay away from the edges. A trapped chest goes off, and whatever diamond item was in it is gone before anyone gets a look: "There was a bunch of TNT." One line on the recording sums up the room: "not a fan of the just mob wave after mob wave system."

Return the souls

Once the spawners are down, a chest holds a Sacred Torch with Knockback IV and Fire Aspect IV, which says "Light the way to another realm." A book is read out, and one line explains the room: "The souls of two fallen gods are needed to unlock passage." Basket goes back for the two souls. A sign over two chests and a lever reads "Return the souls to their altars and pull the lever." One chest is full of bones, and the bet on the recording is that "the withered soul goes in the bones."

Where it ends

The lever is pulled, and chat reads "The Portal Has Appeared." Then, on the recording, "I might have hit the lever again." A moment later chat says "Scoti_Garbidis withered away," the Deaths board goes to Scoti_Garbidis 22, BasketMC 13, and the dropped gear lands around the water. "I think that's an episode."
