Part 5 goes back into the Fallen Menagerie for one more push. Dash and JJBonsig are in the party, going by the nameplates. johnfal_92 comes up in conversation but doesn't show up on screen, and Scoti isn't on.
No more regen
Basket starts with bad news about the gear. After a server reset, Basket went off to redo some quests alone to catch up, died, and called John for help. "Then he came, but then he was having problems, and then I was getting back and I had problems, and then we ended up losing all my stuff." That included the Water Robe and its Regeneration. It's a quest item from the Monastery quest line, so Basket can earn it again, and wants to. "I like regen. Passive regen." The helmet that gave extra hearts is gone too. "I've learned not to quest by myself."
The plan for the day is simple: head straight for the second button and try to finish the dungeon. The leftover chests can wait for another stream.
Creepers on fire
The new gear has more Fire Aspect, so a lot of what gets hit starts burning, creepers included. There are gas spawners scattered around, two more spawners behind a building in the water, and a poison spider spawner up above the atrium. The best part is the mobs themselves. "They keep on spawning and knocking each other off the edge." A little later: "They're killing each other down there. That's great."
The second binding
Past a ladder and some hard-hitting mobs, the buttons are "over there on the left," in a room with a glass floor full of holes. One of them drops down next to the button with a creeper close behind. About thirteen minutes in, the chat reads "Door Key #2 has been activated! The Final Stand is now Open!"
Somebody points out that a wooden button can be pushed with an arrow, and a viewer in chat says they didn't know you could do that.
Cleaning up the side paths
There are still spawners and chests below that room, and they leave those for later. The next rooms have a huge wall of gravel that looks like it should hide something. It doesn't. One explosion catches someone blocking the wrong way. "I was blocking, but I wasn't facing towards that explosion." Then they reach the ladder that turns out to be the shortcut John talked about.
Gear that doesn't last
By a pond with two more spawners, Basket is low on health and a potion only helps a little. The replacement armor is not holding up. "I really liked that mending gear that I had on before. That's so much nicer. This stuff goes quick." The Brigand's Shoes are down to 4 durability out of 65.
Basket asks whether items have to be fully repaired before they go into the transmute pit. They don't, so the worn-out pieces can go in as they are. Most of this part of the dungeon is cleared now. The leftover loot can wait, and Part 5 ends there with the Final Stand open and waiting.
