Part 4 is still inside the orange wool dungeon, the Fallen Menagerie. The party is the same four as before: Basket, johnfal_92, Dash and JJBonsig, going by the nameplates. Scoti isn't on. This one is mostly about going up.
The house with the dark roof
It opens with a question about a house nearby. Someone has already been inside it. "I went up here, everything blew up and then I left again." There's a ladder to the roof, and the roof is dark. Archers are waiting.
Further on there's a tripwire hook strung across the path. "It's very clever." They could walk around it or build over it, but someone has already broken the redstone. That means there's something in the ceiling, and they leave it be.
Up the waterfalls
Then comes a very tall room with atriums to the left, right and straight ahead, and no obvious way up. Blazes sit in the middle and creepers wait on the far side. The creepers get sorted out on the spot: the single ones are the Instabooms, and the double ones are the speedy creepers. "The double ones are scary. The other ones are dangerous."
The way up turns out to be the waterfalls. "Is that really the intended way to go up?" "Intended. Not safe." Stuff keeps falling down the water, mobs included.
A long way down
Partway up there's a big explosion. "Holy cow, I'm gonna die." A moment later the chat reads "johnfal_92 fell from a high place." John is already back in the waterfall, climbing, but most of their armor is lying on the floor at the bottom, so it's a detour to fetch it.
The climb stays rough. One of them gets to the top and falls straight back down, partly from player collision and partly from having a bow loaded. Someone offers up a bunch of slow arrows, and they go to the one player who actually uses them.
A water elevator
Back during the climb, someone had the idea: once they reach the top, make their own little waterfall down, which would be much quicker. So at the top they build one, a water elevator. It needs wool blocks, which means string. JJ has string for one wool block, someone else has string for another, and they ask around for more. "I'm the guy who always dies," one of them says. A dump chest goes down too, so anyone can unload.
Spawners in the trees
The next room is open to the sky, and it's raining. Creepers drop out of the trees. Instabooms and the double ones are hiding up there, and spawners sit right above their heads. The fix is to climb up and break them one at a time.
Then they find a quad spawner. Four spawners in one spot throw archers and double creepers at them, and someone gets knocked off a ledge. "Quad spawners are really bad." They take it apart anyway. "Four spawners down. Good job." There's no time to loot. "There's no break for looting, too much action going on." A spider nest comes next, then another cluster in a hallway, though that one is only a double.
Time to head back
By now inventories are full again and gear is wearing down. A ghast shows up on the left. "I think it's probably about time to start heading back." The plan is to grab the chests they skipped on the way. One of them is a really good chest, "but it's really evil," so they pass on it for now. Part 4 ends on the walk back, with a chance to repair.
