The last episode promised magic pants, and this one opens with them. "All right, time to put on these magic pants. I promised I'd change my pants." The deaths sidebar reads Scoti_Garbidis 11 and BasketMC 6. Before heading out they split the loot. Basket's inventory holds the Spectral Blade, and one of them picks the shovel: "I think I'll take the Gravedigger, man."
Into the webs
Straight ahead from the tower is "a big webby area," and the bet is that it hides better loot, with a safe room to run back to. The cave is packed with cobwebs and the spiders inside are stuck in them. They spot a spawner in the webs and then "another spawner way over there," and cut a path toward it.
It goes badly. One of them drops to three hearts and eats an apple. Then the shout: "I'm poisoned." Poison from what? "It's probably cuz I have hunger and I thought I was poisoned." The cave spiders turn out to be real, though. Down a set of stairs at the far end, chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Cave Spider." "Just get all my stuff."
Two slimeballs
Past the stairs is a chest, and it holds the reason they came. Two slimeballs sit inside, with a tooltip that settles the plan: "This item is required in order to get to the next area." Each of them takes one, they sprint back out through the spiders, and the slimeballs go into the chest upstairs for safekeeping.
It sinks in on the way. "Man, this is gonna be a tough, tough game if we have to do things like go find the secret-y secret."
Potatoes and a plan
Back at the tower they count food (56 potatoes for one, 48 for the other), test the Gravedigger shovel against a wooden sword ("plus 3" against "plus 4"), and agree on a route: back toward the start, then sweep around to the left past the coal. They need torches. One of them takes the magic bow, and they head down. A skeleton comes around to meet them and goes down fast. "Well, that was easy."
The coal turns into torches, and a chest turns up a helmet and a pair of pants. "I don't want the pants." The helmet gets worn.
Lagging out
Then the game starts to stutter at the worst moment. "Oh, why am I lagging out? Stop it." Zombies close in by a mossy stone building, along with what one of them calls "a vampire." Chat reads "BasketMC was slain by Zombie," and Basket's screen shows "You died!" with a score of 412.
"I'm trying to grab your stuff." Basket's magic bow and gold pants stay out by the opening. They regroup underneath the coal mountain, in what gets called "the best Scoti hole ever." "We must have been activating a zombie spawner somewhere."
The tomb
Regrouped, they go back in. "Man, these guys hit hard!" Inside is a tomb they can walk into, and a creeper shows up above them. The episode ends with a plan for the creeper spawner up top: pop a hole so the creepers fall where they can be hit.
