Last episode ended with the two of them deciding the hole near the Nexus could wait for next time. This one starts in the Nexus jungle garden, with a front-view picture of both of them before they go down. The deaths sidebar reads Scoti_Garbidis 39 and BasketMC 32.
Silverfish warning
Two signs by the hole ask: "Did you know that creepers destroying silverfish blocks can now unleash a horde of silverfish?" At the bottom, under a sign reading "Area: The Descent," sits a chest. It holds vines, boots, a stack of green spawn eggs, 10 Cobblestone Monster Eggs and two swords called Basic Pest Control: Bane of Arthropods IV, Unbreaking I, +4 Attack Damage. Basket takes one of the swords. "Those ten cobble are silverfish blocks, so don't grab those, and beware of silverfish everywhere."
The jungle cave
Below is a huge dark cave of grass, vines, red mushrooms and tree trunks. A spider comes at them, and so do green mobs tagged Zombieling. "They have mad hops." The spiders hit hard too: "Oh, and they're strong! They got strength or something. Ah, regen, regen."
Spawners sit in the walls and tree trunks, and the plan is the usual one: light everything, break the spawners, keep moving. Some of the spawners are for creepers. "We don't want them to blow up because then they'll release all the badness."
Emeralds and potions
A chest tucked in the cave holds leather and an emerald. "First emerald, leave it." Further in, past a wooden walkway, another chest holds a set of potions. Basket's inventory shows the Potion of Vulnerability tooltip: Weakness III and Resistance for 0:35, "a potion that weakens enemies and drastically lowers their resistance." Scoti comes out of that room in a yellow chestplate. "I'm going to put on the Hulk Hogan chest plate."
Down to a heart
The next platform goes badly. Mobs keep coming from a spawner, and one of them calls out "I'm down to two hearts right now," then later "I'm down to a heart!" They pull back to heal and eat bread. Basket's inventory now has a Leather Cap with Unbreaking II and Protection II. On the second push a creeper drops in on them. "Fall back, fall back, fall back." Then: "We didn't bring any of our antidote."
On the third try they run in with torches and win the room. "Wow, man, we kick their butts."
Potion of Frost
The last chest, by the stairs, holds more leather, a second emerald and a Potion of Frost (Level 1): Instant Damage III, Slowness II for 0:20, marked Rare Potion. They decide to stop there and take "our emerald and our other emerald back to the base," then pick up again in "this creepy spider room."
No deaths this episode, even with the close calls. The sidebar starts and ends at Scoti_Garbidis 39 and BasketMC 32. The monument isn't shown, so wools stay at 0 of 16 and emerald blocks at 1 of 16.
