After a short teaser, the title card reads "Little Empire, Part 1" and the deaths sidebar shows Scoti_Garbidis 41 and BasketMC 32. Basket and Scoti head into a dark village of wooden houses, stone walls and giant red mushrooms. The plan is simple: "We're gonna try and just light stuff up like crazy."
Lights in the village
The first house is already busy. "Oh creeper! Why is he wearing a helmet?" Then it's "spider spider zombie kid spider spider." A spider gets onto the wooden floor next to Scoti, with the Smite Stick selected in Basket's hotbar.
They light what they can and break what they can't. "I killed a spawner in here on this level." The mobs don't stay put either. "They can climb up the edge, dude."
A cool sword
A chest in one of the houses holds mushrooms, enchanted books and a sword. The tooltip calls it a Righteous Sword: Smite IV, Knockback I, Unbreaking II, Magic Item, +4 Attack Damage. "Oh, look at this cool sword. You should grab that sword."
Later the sword comes up again. "You're not gonna take that sword, huh?" Eventually: "All right, I'll take it."
Shooting from the doorway
A lower level is crawling with mobs, so they stay up high: "Let's stay on this level and shoot him. Oh yeah, we have bows." The drops are a letdown. "It looks like they're just dropping, like, junky pants."
A mushroom in the village keeps pouring out trouble too. "This mushroom over here is dispensing nasties." "I got too close to that thing," one of them says, and Basket's inventory screen shows Speed and Resistance running. "It's like nausea, speed and resistance." The well in the middle of the village gets a quick look and a pass for now. "It's a well full of creepers. There's a chest in there, but we'll come back to it."
Dwarves
Then a green mob with a name tag reading Dwarven Pyromaniac shows up on a village path, and the ground around it is on fire. Basket fights it in the flames, and it ends on the death screen: "BasketMC was burnt to a crisp whilst fighting Dwarven Pyromaniac." The sidebar moves to BasketMC 33.
Scoti isn't far behind. "Oh, they're gonna kill me, dude." Chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Dwarven Scout," and the sidebar shows Scoti_Garbidis 42. One of them sums it up: "I was trying to save your stuff and now it doesn't matter."
Speed sticks and sorting
Basket respawns in a stone room with chests. Chat then shows "BasketMC Teleporting to: Intersection 1." Back in the village, tools and weapons lie scattered on the cobblestone. Then the speed sticks come up. "When you grab a speed stick it cuts you down to only four hearts." "It takes away like all your health."
They finish by sorting the pile into a chest. Then: "We'll cut it right here, and then you and I will get this straightened out and we'll come back next time."
Two deaths this episode, one each, both to dwarves. The sidebar starts at Scoti_Garbidis 41 and BasketMC 32 and ends at Scoti_Garbidis 42 and BasketMC 33. The monument isn't shown this time.
