Herman's Apartment: Ragecraft 2 Episode 29

  • Published on

The silverfish cave from last time leads to a waypoint. "We still have one emerald up in the chest, so in case this links back, we need to make sure we grab that." From the Nexus they take the teleporter, and chat reads "BasketMC Teleporting to: Intersection 1." The deaths sidebar reads Scoti_Garbidis 41 and BasketMC 32.

The first intersection

The intersection is a jungle-wood hall with wool blocks over signs. One reads "Area: Little Empire" under orange and magenta wool. Another reads "Area: Death Row" under light blue. "This is kind of like if the intersection had a seizure." A chest holds a book, and one of them reads the order out: "Recommended order: Little Empire, Death Row and Brimstone River." So Little Empire it is.

Herman the Recluse

Down the Little Empire path is a small wooden house. Its chest holds a book titled "Herman's Quest by Ragecraft II," and inside stands a villager tagged Herman the Recluse. The story is read aloud: "My name is Herman. I've been living on my own for more than 20 years now. I hate people!" Then: "You think you can bring me some fresh meat? I've heard the dwarves keep a bunch of different animals in their village."

Herman's trade screen shows Raw Chicken plus Raw Porkchop for 4 emeralds. "The fact this guy gives emeralds is really confusing to me, because that like bypasses the chest thing."

A detour by the dock

One of them spots a side path down to a dock, where a chest sits right next to a spawner. "Oh, it's a creeper spawner." Then: "Back up, back up, retreat!" They get the chest open anyway, and Basket's inventory now holds a Slightly Damaged Anvil. "I have no room in my inventory," so they unload into a chest back at the Little Empire entrance. Then one more story: "a fast and risky approach is heavily recommended unless you enjoy spending 10 plus hours in a single area."

Alfred the Giant

The cave opens onto a village of houses, red mushrooms and a stone shelter the two of them can't agree on. "It looks like a freaking gazebo to me, man." Further in is Alfred's house. A villager tagged Alfred the Giant trades leather for armor such as Improved Leather Boots with Protection I. Alfred's story: "They banished me from their village because they think I'm a freak of nature, just because I'm so much taller than the rest of them." It goes on: "How about I craft you some weapons and armor and you teach my old friends and neighbors a lesson?"

The village fight

The village fights back. Small green mobs carry name tags: Dwarven Miner and Dwarven Pyromaniac. Fire spreads across the stone floor around the Pyromaniac. "I'm on fire." One of them warns that "there's spider spawners all on the outside wall," and another call is "I'm almost dead, two hearts." They pull back into a house to heal, then charge upstairs, where a spawner sits in a room under the roof. In the scramble comes an apology: "Oh, dude, I just hit you on fire! I'm sorry!"

An emerald to carry home

A chest in that room holds an emerald ringed by stacks of nether brick. They end there with a plan to "run this emerald back" before anyone dies holding it.

No deaths this episode. The sidebar starts and ends at Scoti_Garbidis 41 and BasketMC 32. The monument isn't shown, so wools stay at 0 of 16 and emerald blocks at 1 of 16.
