Where's the Wool? Part 3: Ragecraft 2 Episode 67

  • Published on

Team B.S. starts this one back in the monument hall with something to spend. "We got a bunch of emeralds last time." The deaths sidebar opens at Scoti_Garbidis 91 and BasketMC 71, right where the last episode left it, and it never moves.

A fourth emerald block

Basket walks the row of emerald slots with an emerald block in hand. Three green blocks already sit in the row.

Basket sets the block into an empty slot, which makes four of 16, and opens the chest under the sign reading "Emerald Block #5." "What are we going to get? A fishing rod? Maybe a pair of boots?" It's a bow called Netherstorm, with Power I, Flame I, Punch III, Infinity I, Fire Aspect II, Knockback V and Unbreaking II, marked as a Bonus Item. "Holy crap. That's a really good bow." The plan for it is cautious: take it downstairs, "but then not use it until we're out of this area."

Every spawner, one at a time

Chat shows "Scoti_Garbidis Teleporting to: Ninja Academy" and "BasketMC Teleporting to: Ninja Academy," and they're back in the big jungle cavern. One of them sets the agenda: "I'm charging right in man. I'm gonna take out every spawner." The reason is practical: "we're gonna want to get the iron and stuff. So I need to make this place at least mostly safe."

So they break spawners. "I just broke another spawner!" It's slow going with the wrong tools. "Man we need axes." "I don't think there's axes in the death chest, man." Basket has a Merciless Saber in hand, and at least one creeper gets in close. At one point they hit each other by accident: "I think we hit each other." Nobody dies.

Buildings with insides

The new idea is that some of the overgrown buildings are hollow. "So I guess we need to start looking underneath some of these vines, see if these places have insides." One of them spots a chest: "Is this the wool?" Basket opens it to find mostly tall grass and vines, plus an emerald. "Ooh, emeralds. Some good stuff."

A pair of boots changes hands: "Can I have those boots?" "Yeah." Another building has anvils around it. "This looks like a trap, my friend." They dig in underneath instead and find another chest, this one with an Enchanted Book of Infinity I. Inventories are filling up fast: "I'm out of room."

A tower, a sensei and a fake wool

"Oh, this is the tower! This is the tower, it's got stairs." It doesn't give up any wool. Neither does the roof one of them checks a little later: "Oh, there's wool up here! What? Oh no, it was a lighting glitch, it looked like wool."

A Fallen Sensei turns up on the wooden floor, purple sword out, and Basket meets it with the Merciless Saber. Then the big pit full of zombies gets its turn. "Yeah, it's a creeper spawner and some sort of other spawner. So it's probably not." They light it up, and one of them takes a tumble: "Whoa, I just fell really far."

Close to the end?

With the spawners lit, the job is to clear the creepers and light up around the area. They're hopeful: "I think we could be close to the end."

The sidebar opens at Scoti_Garbidis 91 and BasketMC 71 and closes at the same numbers, so nobody dies this episode. The monument now shows 4 of 16 emerald blocks. No wool is placed, so wools stay at 6 of 16, and the Ninja Academy's wool is still out there.
