Death Chest Machine: Ragecraft 2 Episode 86

  • Published on

The title card reads "Episode 86" and "Death Chest Machine." Team B.S. starts the episode with no armor on, and that's on purpose. The deaths sidebar opens at Scoti_Garbidis 111 and BasketMC 83.

The Death Chest Hallway

"Basket's been hard at work." Basket explains: "I made a redstone contraption instead of death chest, like the regular sort of efficient, just the chest. I have a bunch of pressure plates and droppers and stuff, so we'll see if it works right." A sign by the entrance reads "Death Chest Hallway."

One of them notices "separate rooms for he and I to run through" and suspects "there could still be a prank involved here." Basket's hotbar goes from empty to full after the hallway, and a plate in the corner hands out "all the other stuff that goes in your inventory." The reason for two hallways comes out after: the machine is set up to match "each person's bar." Basket admits, "I was trying to study your videos," to work out how Scoti lays out the hotbar.

It doesn't fire perfectly, "like most redstone stuff," and Basket is "grumpy about that." The problem is height: "there's a bedrock ceiling not very high up," so the tall stack of droppers Basket wanted wouldn't fit. Leftovers, "anything extra that you don't actually want," go in a chest. One of them adds a note about the stack of coal blocks and stained clay they carry: a spawner they found in the Brimstone River "spawns skeletons riding minecart chests" full of it, for "an endless supply."

Back for the side mission

"We beat the reptile tower, but there's a little side mission in there, I think." So they head out into the jungle, where spawners sit on the hillsides. "I see the spawner already." "Got it. Good job." One of them is confident: "We're going to finish the game today."

One of them taunts a mob on the way in: "Take that, reptilian warrior! Don't you know your castle has fallen?" A chest on a wooden deck holds an item called Wall Crusher (Efficiency II, Unbreaking I) and a chest piece called Glowing Reptilian Scales.

Creepers in the trees

Then the ravine. "There's a creeper spawner in the tree." It goes badly for a moment, "fall back, fall back," then: "I'm gonna head over and try to take it out." "It's gone." The next complaint: "I'm on fire. I just got flamebowed." The plan is "fall back to the bridge," then "let's charge this tower." Afterward: "Did you kill Captain Flamebow?"

Inside, a Reptilian Commander stands next to a spawner.

A chest nearby pays off. "Oh, there's an emerald! Yay!" Basket moves the emerald from the chest into the inventory.

The mushroom cave

The last stretch is a cave of giant red mushrooms, hanging vines and spawners. "There's a creeper falling behind you." One of them warns, "They want us looking up now so that things will come up from below us." Then: "Ah, there's a spawner coming up to the right." There is fire, "You're on fire, dude, get out!" and then a "magic-y bow skeleton!" The last shot shows the pair of them in the cave, covered in arrows.

The sidebar opens at Scoti_Garbidis 111 and BasketMC 83 and stays there to the end: no deaths for either of them. Nothing plays after the credits. The monument isn't shown, so wools stay at 8 of 16 and emerald blocks at 5 of 16. Basket picks up one emerald.
