Killing Puppies: Ragecraft 2 Episode 89

  • Published on

The deaths sidebar opens at Scoti_Garbidis 113 and BasketMC 83. Team B.S. is back in the Hunting Grounds, a snowy forest of torch-lit stone paths, and the rule here is simple: stay fed by killing wolves. "I'm gonna run out of saturation in four seconds. I need a wolf."

Wolves and invisible creepers

The forest is crowded. "Poison spider. Oh, I'm way up here in the top, this is real bad." One of them spots a wolf just in time: "I see a wolf, I see a wolf. Oh good, I got a wolf." Not long after, the chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was blown up by Stealthed Creeper."

One of them is in bad shape: "I have half a heart from poisonous spider." Then a wolf with angry red eyes comes down the stone path at Basket, who is down to three hearts.

The next screen is red: "BasketMC was slain by Wolf."

Regroup at the Nexus

Both of them end up back at the Nexus to rearm. One of them heads for Basket's gear machine: "I'm gonna clear out your death chest machine." The verdict after: "I've got more stuff than I'm ever gonna need." Then the chat shows "Scoti_Garbidis Teleporting to: The Hunting Grounds," and Basket follows.

Up the tower

The plan is to go up. A wooden tower had a ladder, but "somebody blew it up," so they pillar instead. A chest at the top holds snowballs, raw meat and an Iridium Helmet (Protection IV, Unbreaking I, -7% Speed). "There's a chest with some stuff, but we already have better stuff."

Past that is "a parkour puzzle to get up to that thing." They have plenty of blocks to bridge it, but the clock is the problem: "we also only have a very limited amount of time to do it." Basket's effects show why. Hunger is ticking, and the saturation that holds it off runs on a timer.

"On the bright side, if we do fall, we just die." "Waiting for the bright side."

The house in the trees

At the top is a wooden house with bookshelves, a creeper on the deck and a spawner by the railing. One of them calls out, "there's a friggin treasure map in here," though the map never shows on Basket's screen. Then: "Oh, there's a spawner behind the bookshelf."

Zombies fill the house, and things go wrong fast. The chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was blown up by Creeper," and moments later "BasketMC was slain by Spider."

Back at the Nexus, the mood is grim. "We're gonna go and find treasure map number three, and then we're gonna get some stuff, and we will never go back to the hunting grounds." "I regret this entire level." The gear machine misfired too: "I got a flame right as I was going through your machine and it busted it, because it put everything off one."

Give me the dogs

They head back in and pillar up the tower again, past a zombie with a pumpkin on its head. "This is gonna be a long episode, I got a feeling." Hunger catches up. "Any dogs? Give me the dogs." "The invisible creepers are so cool. They're my favorite." Then: "I'm starving. Half a heart."

The chat shows Basket teleporting to the Nexus, and right under it, "Scoti_Garbidis starved to death." The credits roll after that, and nothing plays after them.

The sidebar closes at Scoti_Garbidis 116 and BasketMC 85. Scoti dies three times (a Stealthed Creeper, a creeper and hunger) and Basket twice (a wolf and a spider). No wool or emerald blocks this episode.
