The deaths sidebar opens at Scoti_Garbidis 111 and BasketMC 83. The next wool waits in an area called the Hunting Grounds, and they've heard warnings about it: "this one might be very frustrating." One of them answers, "Can't wait!"
Story time
The sign over the ice reads "Teleport to: The Hunting Grounds." Through the teleporter, the effects start piling up. "Mining fatigue, thanks, you jerks. And hunger, awesome." Basket's inventory screen shows Saturation IV ticking down.
"Guess what time it is? It's story time." The story: "This area is cursed. Anyone who sets foot in here will suffer from an insatiable hunger." The only animals left "are packs of deadly wolves. Will you be the hunter or the hunted?" Then the technical part: "When you kill a wolf, a custom potion will drop to the ground. Being splashed by that potion will give you a few minutes of full saturation." The server starts lagging, so they back out, sort it out, and come back in.
A treasure map in three pieces
A second story, the Dwarven Saga, explains the goal. "We took our most valuable treasures and buried them under the forest. I ripped the treasure map into three pieces and stored two of them in our outpost inside the forest." The objective is blunt: "The three treasure maps will tell you the way to the wool. Do not lose any of them or it's game over."
One rule comes early: "don't stand next to the ice guys when they die," because of the slowness and blindness. A mob tagged Dead Hunter guards a burning spawner on the snowy slope.
Then the chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was slain by Ice Guard." The respawn means a trip through Basket's gear machine. "So much stuff fell out. Your machine is so broken." "No, it's supposed to drop out a lot of stuff." Next comes a complaint about the sword: "I have knockback on my sword, so when these wolves die, I'm not by them."
Spiders, creepers and a spell
Below the first building, things get worse. "Trap, trap, trap!" Then "Poison spider! Run away!" A chest holds, as one of them puts it, "a spell. Arcane shield." Then the creepers arrive, and the chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was blown up by Stealthed Creeper." The mood drops: "Oh, I'm so ready to quit this map right now." Gear is now "spread out all over the ice," and "some of it might have blown up."
Regrouping
They teleport to The Nexus and empty their pockets into a large chest. Basket's screen shows Chain Boots with Blast Protection IV and Feather Falling IV. One of them retires a bow for now: "Netherstorm, you're done."
Back in the Hunting Grounds, the new problem is "the invisible creepers." A chest pays out "snowballs," "a speed potion," "Potion of Frost, instant damage and slowness potions" and a "Smite sword." They also learn that "as soon as you teleport in it gives you the saturation."
Dwarven Outpost #2
Down the hill, a cabin's sign reads "Dwarven Outpost #2." "Is there a map in there?" One of them takes care of it: "I'm gonna take it up to the hill. Yes, I'm taking it." The reasoning is simple: "If we lose that, then we lose the map, and then there's no point." The map itself never shows on Basket's screen. The episode ends with one last plan: "Just torch everything."
The sidebar closes at Scoti_Garbidis 113 and BasketMC 83. Scoti dies twice, to an Ice Guard and a Stealthed Creeper. Basket doesn't die, and nothing plays after the credits. The monument isn't shown, so wools stay at 8 of 16 and emerald blocks at 6 of 16.
