Diamond Ore!: Ragecraft 2 Episode 103

  • Published on

The deaths sidebar opens at Scoti_Garbidis 129 and BasketMC 97. Team B.S. picks up where Episode 102 stopped, swimming outside the flooded buildings of the Sunken Colony and picking through them one floor at a time. A chest on the top level goes to the wrong person ("You got the chest?" "Yeah." "You jerk.") and holds a pickaxe that turns out to be nothing special. "I was hoping there was gonna be an emerald in there. So let's go lower, I guess."

The air hole that goes nowhere

Lower turns out to be dark and full of charged creepers. One of them finds "a water hole or an air hole with some bedrock and pressure plate noises" and figures "that's probably one of the keys." Getting there nearly costs the other a life. "I think I'm going to drown to death, man." Down to half a heart, then a heart and a half, the two of them can't find each other in the murk, and the advice gets short: "Go up. Swim. Swim. Swim."

When they finally reach the spot, it's a letdown. "This is nothing, it's just the bottom of the world, I guess." A helmet changes hands so the one without water breathing can keep up: "It doesn't have stats but you can breathe underneath the water."

Diamond ore

The next building has a basement worth breaking into. A gold block sits in the middle of a flooded stone room, and then one of them spots the real prize: "Oh, diamond ore, okay, don't mine that unless you have fortune." Basket's iron pickaxe has it, Fortune III along with Efficiency IV and Unbreaking III. A creeper spawner and a charged creeper that wanders in make the room tense for a minute before it's blocked off.

The haul is smaller than hoped. "You got some diamonds or no?" "We just got two." Two diamonds sit in Basket's inventory afterward, next to a Diving Helmet with Respiration III and Aqua Affinity I. The skeletons in this place wear glass on their heads, and the helmets they drop come with Aqua Affinity.

The trapped chest

Past a room of cauldrons ("like a water grave or something") sits a chest that looks too easy. "Trap chest. Sure enough." They dig down to it from below rather than open it from the front, and it's packed with TNT, 29 of it on Basket's screen. "That could have been an explosive situation."

Spiders, witches and a fire

The attic of another building holds poison spiders. "I'm poisoned again, I'm gonna die." Nobody does, this time. A chest on a lower level gives up a creeper head and what one of them calls "a panic potion that looks like a healing potion." Then they pick the building full of witches.

They shoot the witches from outside at first, but going in goes badly. "Oh god, running was a terrible idea, I'm on fire." Basket's health drops to a single heart on screen, and the chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis was killed by Witch using magic." The sidebar ticks to 130. Afterward the respawned one says an Aqua Affinity helmet was "auto given to me" by "the machine."

They split up to regroup and call an intermission, and the episode ends there. Nothing plays after the credits.

The sidebar closes at Scoti_Garbidis 130 and BasketMC 97. Scoti dies once (killed by a witch's magic) and Basket doesn't die. Two diamonds are mined, and no wool, emerald blocks or upgrade blocks are placed.
