The deaths sidebar opens at Scoti_Garbidis 133 and BasketMC 99. Both of them are in diamond armor, and one of them has news from between episodes: "I found both the quest item... and then also where the last key is. So we're gonna run right at it." The quest item comes first, because it should mean enough emeralds for another emerald block.
Jacob's letter
They swim out across the Sunken Colony to a building with a chest in a flooded room. The chest is full of bones, and in it is a book titled "I am doomed" by Jacob. It gets read out: "When I was looking for redstone at the bottom of the lake a swarm of electrically charged creatures appeared out of nowhere... If you find this letter, please tell my family I love them and I'm sorry for being such a fool."
The chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis Teleporting to: Intersection 3." There a villager tagged Melvin has a trade waiting: the book for an emerald. "Hello Melvin. Yes, for emeralds."
Emerald Block #9
Back at the monument, the emerald block in Basket's hotbar goes into the slot by the sign reading "Emerald Block #9." Before the chest opens, the guesses go around: an upgrade block and a bow, an upgrade block and a chestplate. "It's a helmet. An upgrade block." The helmet is the Spectral Mask: Protection IV, Fire Protection III, Blast Protection III, Projectile Protection III, Unbreaking V, Bonus Item. "You can wear that one."
The upgrade block goes from Basket's hotbar into the upgrade room, next to the sign "UPGRADE: Hunting." The signs above it lay out the levels: one upgrade gives flames (raw material for chain armor), two give flames and iron ingots, three add bottles of enchanting. "This is level two."
Arcane Key #1
The chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis Teleporting to: Sunken Colony." The missing key is in a building they had already been around. "We didn't go in the building, we just went around it." One floor had a section that couldn't be seen from outside. "Our spatial recognition is weak."
Then the chat: "Scoti_Garbidis and BasketMC Arcane Key #1 has been activated," followed by "BasketMC and Scoti_Garbidis Teleporting to: The Vault."
The vault
The first thing in the vault is a sign: "Punch the TNT before you continue." Past it is a long room behind glass with fires on both sides, pits along the floor and spawners. The plan is to break the glass, kill what comes out, then rush in. "Alright, I took out two spawners, I'm retreating." "I'm withered." There's a spawner down in one of the holes, and then the rest: "I'm gonna start taking out some of these spawners." Basket's inventory picks up a pair of Iron Boots on the way. "So now we're actually getting iron from all the guys."
The blue wool
Before leaving, they stop at the Adminium Blacksmith, which trades bedrock blocks for Adminium Boots, Chestplate and Helmet, each with Protection III, Projectile Protection I and Unbreaking X. They try for matching boots, and the trade gets confusing: "I think it maxed out. Did that work?" The verdict on the look: "They look the same. They're just diamonds."
The chat reads "BasketMC Teleporting to: The Nexus," then the same for Scoti_Garbidis. At the monument the chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis and BasketMC Blue Wool has been placed. Area defeated: Sunken Colony." "Man, we have so much wool." "I guess I didn't realize how close we are to the end of this game."
The credits roll, and nothing plays after them. The sidebar closes at Scoti_Garbidis 133 and BasketMC 99. Nobody dies. Arcane Key #1 is activated, one emerald block and one upgrade block are placed, and the blue wool goes on the monument.
