Vertigo: Ragecraft 2 Episode 122

  • Published on

The deaths sidebar opens at Scoti_Garbidis 139 and BasketMC 107. With the spider nightmare behind them, Team B.S. heads into the second one. "Time to have vertigo and go to bed," one of them says. Basket goes first this time, up a ladder and out onto a floor of glass under a sunset sky, with anchors hanging from chains overhead.

A floor with holes in it

"There's holes in the glass, watch out." Below the glass is nothing but the void. Mobs come at them right away, there are spawners to take out, and one thing hits hard enough to send them flying backward. Scoti doesn't last long. Chat reads "Scoti_Garbidis fell out of the world," and the sidebar goes to 140.

Basket goes over the edge too, but doesn't fall all the way. Basket lands on a ledge in the caves far below the floor, among lava, waterfalls and walls that turn out to be full of silverfish.

Getting back up

The next few minutes are a rescue. Basket's screen shows a cave of lava and running water, and the plan from above is water: "I'm gonna make you a water elevator." It takes several tries to set it where it can be reached. Basket ends up in the lava at one point, on fire but still standing. "Are you immune to fire?" "Kind of. I have really good armor."

Up top, the void keeps taking Scoti. The sidebar reads 141 by about 8:50 and 142 by about 11:15, both times with the same chat line. Basket finally climbs out and back onto the glass. "Good job, man."

Building a bridge

They spot a doorway in the distance that one of them says "kind of looks like a little mausoleum," and decide the way through is to build over everything rather than fight it. Basket's camera follows a bridge of planks and orange blocks going out over the dark, with torches along the edge. "There's a diamond block in the middle down there," one of them says. Nobody wants to go after it: "I really don't like void."

They run short of blocks. "The next person to die is gonna grab a lot of blocks," and the next person is Scoti, again: the fourth "fell out of the world" of the episode, and the sidebar reads 143. Scoti comes back with plenty. "I brought a lot of blocks, probably more than I need."

Waking up

The last stretch has blazes and ghasts, and one of them warns that there are spawners "in the walls" so hugging them is a bad idea. Basket's screen shows the enchanted bow drawn the whole way. The plan is to bridge close and then drop down with water onto the structure. There's a problem: "There's a bunch of holes in the ground right in front of it."

They make it down and into a room, and that's the end of the nightmare. "We both wake up," one of them says, and they're back out among the iron bars and glowstone. Basket drops off some spare gear in a chest, and the credits roll. Nothing plays after them.

The sidebar closes at Scoti_Garbidis 143 and BasketMC 107. This episode: Scoti 4 deaths, all falls out of the world, and Basket 0. No wool, emerald block or upgrade block is placed.
