The video opens on a few seconds of an earlier trip into the arena, with the sidebar at 164 and 118. Then the Episode 139 title card comes up in the countdown room, and from there the deaths sidebar reads Scoti_Garbidis 177 and BasketMC 131, right where last episode closed. Team B.S. is still trying to beat Protox in the Unholy Arena.
The slow grind
The routine is set by now: gear up, wait out the 60 seconds, get teleported in, die, run back. Chat shows "BasketMC was slain by Sentinel" a few minutes in, then "Scoti_Garbidis was shot by Protox." Somebody's water has been trapping the iron golems, so it goes: "I've turned off the water for that one guy. He's free now."
There's some progress, at least by their count. "I got three more hits in on Protox." One of them has "had at least seven direct hits," some with a Smite sword and some with Bane of Arthropods. "The slow grind, man." "Especially 'cause we're not even hurting the guy."
Basket builds another golem out of a Block of Iron and a pumpkin, then turns around and finds Protox right there, under an orange name tag. The next death screen says "BasketMC was killed by magic," with Protox standing over it.
The shrine
Next they try "the shrine thing," a buff from the first level of the arena. A sign says to pray on the shrine and that it can only be used once. As they explain it, it's five minutes of strength and other bonuses, then two minutes of debuffs. Basket's screen fills up with Speed, Haste III, Strength, Absorption and Resistance II. "Ignore the mining fatigue, it's just 'cause we're in this area."
It doesn't save them. "I died just like three or four times." Chat shows both of them blown up by a creeper, and back in the countdown room the bill comes due: Hunger III, Weakness III and Slowness III. One of them has a worry about what comes next: "When we kill him I'm very nervous about what's going to happen to the wool."
Every potion in the chest
So they start drinking everything. Basket holds up a Mushroom Extract, said to give "strength, speed, fire resistance, and haste," with nausea as the catch. "Either I'm not going to use it ever, or I'm going to use it here, because this is the last place anyway." The effects list comes up with Nausea and Fire Resistance on it, and the run goes about as well as the others. Chat soon shows "BasketMC was killed trying to hurt Protox."
The next find is better. A chest holds Potions of Lucidity: Night Vision, Water Breathing II and Resistance II. "I had night vision. It was so awesome." They only have a few, and "two of them aren't splash yet."
Spiders, Sentinels and one more potion
The deaths keep stacking up: blown up by creepers, slain by spiders, slain by Sentinels. A few runs end with "I hit him twice" or "I only got like two hits on him." One of them reports that "[Protox] does not have regeneration, so you can kill him slowly and methodically if you want to play it safe." The creeper rule is the sore spot: "If we didn't have to run around and try and kill a creeper, things I think would be very different."
Late in the episode Basket pulls out a Potion of Annihilation, a "very powerful potion that makes enemies dissapear," with Slowness, Wither and Invisibility on the label. "Use it or lose it." It doesn't turn things around either.
Back to the Nexus
The last death on screen is "BasketMC was slain by Zombie." One of them heads off "to start enchanting gear for next time," and they meet in the Nexus teleporter room to sign off.
There's no gameplay after the credits. The sidebar closes at Scoti_Garbidis 196 and BasketMC 148. This episode: Scoti 19 deaths, Basket 17. No wool, emerald block or upgrade block is placed, and Protox is still standing.
