BasketMC

Imaginathan: Ragecraft 3 Episode 11

  • Published on

Basket and Scoti head up the stairs into more spider country, and the death counter reads 1 for Scoti and 0 for Basket. It doesn't move all episode. The first half is cobwebs and poison spiders. The second half is the Nexus, the hub where the crystal monument stands, and they're so busy looking at it that the episode runs out.

Spawners in the eggs

The first chest has a renewable weapon in it, and Basket ends up with the Venom Fang: Sharpness IV, Bane of Arthropods II and Knockback I. It's a good sword for a level made of spiders.

Poison spiders keep turning up with no spawner in sight. It turns out the big round boulders are eggs, and the spawners are inside them. Lighting around them did nothing. "Cobwebs are the worst." "Everything's the worst." One of them clears a room packed with silverfish and is proud of using the right sword on all of them. "Do I get a cookie or something?" Then it's spiders, spiders, creepers, and more webs.

Once they figure out the eggs, one of them says sometimes you have to use your imagination, and that turns into a pun that gives the episode its name.

A book of hints

They mine some coal on the way, which one of them admits is a little boring for an episode. More spawners go down on the hill, including one they were sure would be skeletons. One of them nearly shoots the other while trying to jump and fire over their head.

At the top there's a large chest stuffed with leaves and a book called "HINTS if needed." It says that if you don't know how to get down to the Nexus, go back to the town, where there are two items to find first. Lose them and there's a slower way that needs mob farming.

They have a water bucket, so they go down that way instead. "I don't trust anything anymore." Poison spiders pour in at the bottom, the game starts to struggle, and they push through a tight corridor of soul sand and pillars.

The Nexus

Then it opens up. It's huge, with castles everywhere and waterfalls down the walls. A chest sign points "To intersection one." One room is the Shrine of Heroes, rows of player heads on glowstone with names underneath, and two of the names are Scoti Garbidis and BasketMC. "We're in the map." They lose a few minutes to that, then find mooshrooms in a mushroom patch.

The monument

A book explains the place. The Nexus was a sacred place, an invisible power keeps the darkness out, and that's why the first crystal monument was built here. The ancient gods give gifts to the people they think are worthy. "That's us."

Beside it is the bonus monument with slots for Emerald Block 1 through 12. A chest of bonus items appears above each one once it's placed. A pickaxe nearby fixes a crystal or emerald block put in the wrong spot, but it only has ten uses. Nothing gets placed yet, so the count stays at 0 of 16 crystals and 0 of 12 emerald blocks.

There's a break-the-glass shortcut back up, a wheat farm, coal, and a building with an enchanting area, target practice, an ender chest and a balcony. Upstairs is an upgrade room. When the gods reward you with a bedrock block, you can use it there for an upgrade. There is also a weapon, "a small gift from the ancient gods," that grants resistance while held. "This place is massive," and that's where they stop.
